VEHICULAR ANTENNA, VEHICULAR ANTENNA-ATTACHED WINDOW GLASS, AND ANTENNA SYSTEM

A vehicle antenna includes a conductor plate, a radiator plate facing the conductor plate, a feeding portion located on a same side as the conductor plate with respect to the radiator plate, a connection conductor connecting the feeding portion and the radiator plate, and a first element and a second element arranged away from each other on both sides in a vehicle-width direction of a vehicle with respect to the radiator plate, wherein the radiator plate is arranged at an inclination of equal to or less than ±15 degrees with respect to a vertical plane perpendicular to a horizontal plane.

EMBEDDED BROADBAND GLASS COPLANAR WAVEGUIDE COUPLER

An electromagnetic coupler that couples antenna signals for a wideband antenna positioned between glass layers of an automotive windshield. The coupler includes a first co-planar waveguide (CPW) formed on one side of a glass layer and a second CPW formed on the other side of the glass layer, where the first and second CPWs are a mirror, or near-mirror, and 180° rotated images of each other. Both the first and second CPWs include a conductive plane where removed portions of the plane define a wide CPW section and a narrow CPW section that are electrically coupled to each other, and where the remaining portions of the conductive plane are ground planes, and where the electromagnetic signals are coupled through the glass layer between the wide CPW sections.

Method for selecting an interlayer for vibroacoustic damping, interlayer and glazing unit comprising such an interlayer

The invention relates to a method for selecting a viscoelastic plastic interlayer including two outer layers and a central layer that can be incorporated between two glass sheets of a glazing unit, the method includes providing first and second components that constitute respectively the central layer and the outer layers, measuring the shear modulus G′ of the first and second components, selecting the material of the second component only if G′≧3×10.sup.7 Pa at 20° C. and between 100 Hz and 240 Hz, and setting the thickness h of the first component so that h is between 0.31 mm and 1.20 mm and so that g=G′/h is between 5.58×10.sup.8 Pa/m and 2.37×10.sup.9 Pa/m at 20° C. and between 100 Hz and 240 Hz.

Blast-resistant escape window

A blast-resistant escape window for an armored combat ground vehicle has a cassette which fits within, and closes, a though-opening in a frame of a windscreen. Two releasable lever-operated locking mechanisms for releasably locking the cassette in the through-opening are mounted on the windscreen at opposite sides of the through-opening. The cassette can to be pushed out of the through-opening when the locking mechanisms have been operated to release the cassette from being locked to the windscreen, thereby providing an alternative exit for personnel in the vehicle.

A window stabilization mechanism includes a rail provided on a first cabin frame provided on one side of a window, and has a first end and a second end opposite to the first end in the lengthwise direction of the rail. A sliding member is provided on a windowpane and is configured to slide on the rail. The sliding member is located at a first end when the window is opened and at a second end when the window is closed. A lock mechanism is configured to lock the windowpane to the first cabin frame when the window is closed. A window support member is configured to abut on the windowpane when the window is closed, and to press the windowpane in an oblique direction from the windowpane toward the rail and from the second end toward the first end when the windowpane is locked by a lock mechanism.

Fixed Window Assembly For A Vehicle And Method Of Manufacturing Same

The subject invention includes a fixed window assembly for a vehicle comprising a fixed glass, a trim portion having a polymeric base and a decorative member bonded to the polymeric base. An encapsulation is coupled to the fixed glass and the polymeric base to mount the trim portion in a spaced and adjacent position relative to the fixed glass. A method of manufacturing is also provided using first and second molding apparatuses. Polymeric material is injected into a first mold cavity of the first molding apparatus to form the polymeric base bonded to the decorative member. Polymeric material is injected into a second mold cavity of the second molding apparatus to form the encapsulation coupled to the fixed glass and simultaneously coupled to the polymeric base to mount the trim portion in an adjacent position to the fixed glass.
