The present invention relates to a roof rack assembly and a hood light-blocking fabric assembly, the hood light-blocking fabric assembly capable of photovoltaic generation comprising: a lower photovoltaic generation plate fixedly installed to cover the hood of a vehicle and configured to prevent inflow of heat energy of sunlight into the vehicle, to absorb sunlight, and to produce electricity accordingly; and an upper photovoltaic generation plate installed on an upper portion of the lower photovoltaic generation plate and configured to change between a first position at which the upper photovoltaic generation plate overlaps the upper portion of the lower photovoltaic generation plate and a second position at which the upper photovoltaic generation plate covers a front glass of the vehicle.

The second pane of glass includes 68-74 weight % SiO.sub.2, 2-6 weight % MgO, 1-10 weight % CaO, 12-16 weight % Na.sub.2O, 0-1 weight % K.sub.2O, 0.8-2.0 weight % Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 (total iron), 0-1.25 weight % TiO.sub.2, and 0-1.25 weight % CeO.sub.2. A polymeric interlayer is provided between the first pane of glass and the second pane of glass. The window assembly exhibits a direct solar transmittance of 55% or less and a total solar transmittance of 65% or less.

Such a power-actuated displacement mechanism is operably coupled to the guide rails. The fabric top section is configured to have a substantially horizontal travel path along an anterior portion of the guide rails and thereby does not pivot up and away from the guide rails. The fabric top section is operably coupled to the guide rails and responsive to an operating mode of the power-actuated displacement mechanism. The folded position of the fabric top section is piled up inside the existing tailgate portion of the existing vehicle.
