Roof system for a vehicle
A roof system for a vehicle having a roof opening in a roof part thereof comprises a transparent panel in the roof opening, and a ventilation system for moving air into and/or out of the vehicle interior. The ventilation system includes an air guiding channel guiding air between the vehicle interior and the environment through at least one ventilation opening. The air guiding channel is fitted centrally below the transparent panel and extends in longitudinal direction of the vehicle, substantially completely along the panel and communicates with the interior at least along a substantial length of the panel through holes.
THREE SHOT PLASTIC TAILGATE
A plastic glazing of a tailgate of a vehicle is provided, the plastic glazing comprising a translucent component, wherein a portion of the translucent component forms a rear window of the vehicle, a colored component molded onto the translucent component in a second shot, wherein the colored component comprises a lens of a light unit, a non-transparent component molded onto the translucent component, wherein an overlapping portion of the translucent component and the non-transparent component forms a blackout region proximate to the rear window, wherein the plastic glazing is of one-piece molded plastic construction, wherein the translucent component comprises a first textured surface in a region adjacent to the blackout region, where the first textured surface is configured to conceal a component of the vehicle.
Sun visor module
A sun visor module includes: a base portion which has an accommodating space formed therein and a front portion provided at the ceiling of a front seat of a vehicle in an openable or closable form; a sun visor portion which is provided at the center of the inside of the base portion and slides in or out through the front portion of the base portion; a screen-shaped awning portion which is provided at a lower portion of the inside of the base portion to be entered in or out to the front portion of the base portion; an air discharge portion which is connected with an A-pillar of the vehicle to introduce the wind flowing in the A-pillar into the base portion; and a first blowing portion which communicates with the rear lower portion of the base portion to send the wind to the inside of the vehicle.

Article Having a High Visible Light Reflectance and a Neutral Color
A coated article includes a substrate and a coating applied over at least a portion of the substrate. The coating includes: a first dielectric layer over at least a portion of the substrate; a first metallic layer over at least a portion of the first dielectric layer; a first primer layer over at least a portion of the first metallic layer; a second dielectric layer over at least a portion of the first primer layer; a second metallic layer over at least a portion of the second dielectric layer; a second primer layer over at least a portion of the second metallic layer; a third dielectric layer over at least a portion of the second primer layer; and an outermost protective layer formed over at least a portion of the third dielectric layer. The coated article wherein the RgL* value is at least 35, and no more than 55. The coated article has a total combined thickness of the metallic layers of at least 10 nanometers, and no more than 30 nanometers.
Obscuration having superior strength and optical quality for an automotive laminate
The object of this invention is to provide a laminated automotive glazing having an obscuration area produced by printing the obscuration on a film laminated between at least two layers of plastic interlayers rather than printing and firing an enamel frit onto the glass. This results in a laminate having superior optical quality, higher strength and a lower probability of breakage as compared to a laminate with a black enamel frit obscuration.
Using camera data to automatically change the tint of transparent materials
An apparatus includes an interface and a processor. The interface may be configured to receive ambient light information from a sensor. The processor may be configured to extract from the ambient light information (a) a brightness level and (b) a direction of light, compare the brightness level to a pre-determined threshold and generate a control signal if (a) the brightness level is greater than the pre-determined threshold and (b) the direction of the light corresponds to a field of view of a driver. The ambient light information may be determined in response to light directed towards one or more windows. The control signal may be configured to adjust an amount of tinting applied to the windows. The light may be measured in real-time.
