A motor vehicle having at least one rear-view mirror provided for use by the driver and having a reflecting mirror surface formed by a mirror material, in particular an interior mirror and/or an exterior mirror, and/or at least one passenger compartment window, in particular a windshield and/or a rear window and/or at least one side window, comprising a window material, in particular glass; the at least one rear-view mirror and/or the at least one passenger compartment window comprising a filter medium which absorbs light within at least one wavelength range and/or, in the case of the rear-view mirror which reflects said light in a different direction from light outside the wavelength range.

VEHICLES AND VEHICLE ROOF STRUCTURES FOR CONCEALING ONE OR MORE SENSORS

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to vehicles and vehicle roof structures for concealing one or more sensors. Vehicle roof structures according to the present disclosure include a roof panel and a window extending at least up to the roof panel. A headliner extends along an interior portion of the roof panel to the window and is at least partially spaced from the roof panel in a direction of an interior of the vehicle to provide a sensor mounting volume therebetween, wherein the window extends along at least a portion of the sensor mounting volume. One or more sensors are positioned behind the window within the sensor mounting volume to provide a signal indicative of a characteristic of an environment of the vehicle detected by the one or more sensors through the window.

An electrochromic device is provided that includes: a first substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the first substrate having a multilayer polymer film; a first electrode; a second substrate having a third surface and a fourth surface opposite the third surface, the second substrate spaced from the first substrate with the second and third surfaces facing but spaced from one another; a second electrode; and an electrochromic layer positioned between the first and second electrodes. The first electrode is positioned between the second surface and the electrochromic medium and the second electrode is positioned between the third surface and the electrochromic medium. The multilayer polymer film includes a nonpolar polymer layer as an outermost layer closest to the electrochromic medium.

Light-transmissive plastic plate structure with curved surface and method for fabricating the same

The invention refers to a light-transmissive plastic plate structure suitable for vehicle sunroof with curved surface and a method for fabricating the same. By using polymer material formulation, UV resistant coating formulation and precision coating technology, the wear resistance of polymer surface of plastic substrate can be improved to the same level as glass, and the original optical and physical properties after various environmental tests can also be maintained. The plastic substrate is first formed into a curved plastic plate through a hot pressing process, and then a connecting structure is formed and fixed on the plastic plate by an insert-molding injection process, in order to replace the traditional car sunroof mechanism which is assembled by glass plate bonded with metal connecting parts. The light-transmissive plastic plate structure with curved surface comprises a lightweight polymer sunroof and a lightweight plastic connecting structure fixed to the sunroof by insert-molding injection, which can reduce the weight of traditional glass sunroof, front and rear windshield, and side window glass assembly, and is particularly suitable for use in oil-electric hybrid vehicles and pure-electric vehicles that require lightweight specifications.

INTERLAYERS COMPRISING OPTICAL FILMS HAVING ENHANCED OPTICAL PROPERTIES

An interlayer comprising a first polymer layer, a polarization rotary optical film and optionally a second polymer layer, and multiple layer panels formed from such interlayers. The panels may exhibit desirable optical properties, including, for example, less image “ghosting,” when used as part of a heads-up-display (HUD) display panel for use in automotive and aircraft applications.
