A frame and soft top assembly which includes lift assist and improved fabric management. The assembly includes a pair of front arms pivotally attached to rear side rails and are attached to the vehicle roll bar. A plurality of fabric control bows connected with pivot links provide fabric control to the top material during pivoting of the front side rails. A pair of bow pivot links are pivotally connected to the rear side rail. A rear gas strut and a front gas strut are attached longitudinally to either side of the pair of bow pivot links, one providing lift assistance at the start of the pivotal opening of the sunroof while the other of the struts gets loaded as the top is deployed and buffers the closing of the roof which also loads the strut to provide assistance in the closing direction when it is time to close the sunroof.

Structural member and structural member for vehicle

A structural member 10 includes a hat member 1 and a closing plate 2. The length LY of the tubular portion formed by the hat member 1 and the closing plate 2 is 6 or more times the height H of a pair of side walls 11 and 12. Each of the side walls 11 and 12 includes a high-strength portion 11A or 12A and low-strength portions 11B or 12B. The high-strength portion has a yield strength not less than 500 MPa. The low-strength portions have a yield strength of 60 to 85% of that of the high-strength portion. Each high-strength portion extends a distance not less than (⅔)H and not more than 3H as measured in the direction in which the ridges extend, and is provided such that the high-strength portions of the pair of side walls face each other. A pair of low-strength portions sandwich the associated high-strength portion.

Holder for an interior trim part, and vehicle body structure

A holder for an interior trim part, in particular for covering the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, has at least one supply line for guiding a temperature-controllable, liquid or gaseous fluid, to an outlet via which the fluid can emerge from the supply line, and an inlet via which the fluid can enter a discharge line. An interior trim part can be arranged on the holder in such a manner that the outlet of the holder is fluidically connected to an inlet of the interior trim part, and the inlet of the discharge line of the holder is fluidically connected to an outlet of the interior trim part.
