Shock-absorbing member

A shock absorbing member of the present disclosure is a shock absorbing member including a first hollow member (11) and a second hollow member (12) that are made of aluminum alloy and are weld joined to each other, in which a weld material and weld beads (W) do not project from a side on which a joined surface between the first hollow member (11) and the second hollow member (12) is located.

Hybrid reinforcement structure

A structural reinforcement for insertion into a cavity of a vehicle structure including a base reinforcing portion, an expandable material and a localized reinforcement is disclosed. The localized reinforcement is placed within the structural reinforcement at a location of anticipated increased deformation during vehicle impact in an effort to reduce deformation and control the load distribution post-impact.

Motor vehicle body with filler piece

A motor vehicle body includes an A-pillar panel, an outer skin body panel, which together with an edge of the A-pillar panel delimits a gap. A windshield is adjacent to a longitudinal edge of the A-pillar panel. A filler piece has a first portion which fills out the gap and a second portion which conceals a gap between the longitudinal edge of the A-pillar panel and the windshield.

Rollo assembly and open roof construction for a vehicle provided therewith

A rollo assembly comprises a rollo screen having opposed forward and rearward edges and two opposed side edges extending in a longitudinal direction. A biased winding shaft supports the rollo screen at the rearward edge thereof. An operating beam connects to the forward edge of the rollo screen. Two guide members extend in said longitudinal direction and each define a guide channel for guiding an operating beam end. Near to each of the operating beam ends a first end of an elongate flexible drive member is connected, wherein each drive member, starting from a position near to the respective operating beam end, firstly extends in the longitudinal direction away from the winding shaft, next around a reversal member and finally in the longitudinal direction towards the winding shaft. Each drive member has a second end which has a stationary position. The reversal member is driven in said longitudinal direction.

Structure for side part of body of vehicle

A vehicle body side part structure for a vehicle includes a side sill connected to the lower part of a pillar, and a partition member provided within the side sill. The partition member includes a partition wall for dividing a closed sectional space of the side sill in the vehicle front-rear direction, and joint flange joined to the inner surface of a side sill inner member. The partition wall includes a ridge extending from a side of the side sill outer reinforcement to a side of the side sill inner member and connected to the joint flange. A widening portion is formed at an end of on the ridge close to the joint flange. This configuration makes it possible to improve the load transmission performance at the time of a side collision of the vehicle.

Winding device for a roller blind arrangement, roller blind arrangement and roof arrangement
09776484 · 2017-10-03 · ·

A winding device for a roller blind arrangement, in particular for a vehicle, which has a winding element having a longitudinal axis. The winding element is constructed to be rotatably supported about the longitudinal axis on a vehicle and to wind and unwind a roller blind web. The winding device further has a coil spring having an axially extending hollow space, wherein the winding element is connected to the vehicle by means of the coil spring and the coil spring enables a rotational movement of the winding element relative to the vehicle. In addition, the winding device has a rod element which is arranged in the hollow space of the coil spring for guiding the coil spring, wherein the rod element is constructed in such a manner that the rod element radially tensions the coil spring.

An expandable vehicle comprising a vehicle chassis and an expandable structure that is fixed to, carried by, and supported by the vehicle chassis. The expandable structure is expanded when the expandable vehicle is stationary for the stationary purpose of the expandable vehicle and is contracted when the expandable vehicle is being moved. The expandable structure comprises an expandable frame and an expandable body. The expandable body is fixed to, carried by, and supported by the expandable frame while the expandable frame is fixed to, carried by, and supported by the vehicle chassis. As the expandable frame is expanded and contracted, the expandable body is correspondingly expanded and contracted.

Vehicles including sweeper assemblies for vehicle bumpers

A vehicle includes a body, a rear bumper, and a sweeper assembly is provided. The body has a forward end, a rear end, and a cavity provided therein extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction. The cavity has an opening at the rear end of the body. The rear bumper has an upper surface and is provided at the rear end of the body of the vehicle. The sweeper assembly includes a push plate movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The push plate is stored within the cavity of the body when in the retracted position and extends over the upper surface of the rear bumper when in the extended position to clear debris off the upper surface of the rear bumper.
