Vehicle storage structure
A vehicle storage structure is deformed and crushed, when an excessive load is inputted to a vehicle from outside, without any influence to functions of surrounding structures. The vehicle storage structure includes a case formed in a box shape having side walls, rising integrally with a periphery of a bottom plate, and an open top face, wherein when a line in a vehicle front-rear direction, connecting centers in an up-down direction of the bottom plate, is defined as a bottom-plate center line, and a line connecting a front end of the bottom-plate center line with a rear end of the bottom-plate center line is defined as a bottom-end connection line, the bottom-plate center line is a polygonal line having a ridge as a folding point and the ridge is positioned higher than the bottom-end connection line.
Vehicle floor structure
A floor structure for a vehicle includes: a center floor; a plurality of longitudinal members attachably disposed on a top surface of the center floor; a plurality of seat rails disposed in the plurality of longitudinal members, respectively; and a battery assembly arranged under the center floor.
Retractable jeep top and associated methods
A multi-functional retractable JEEP® top includes a support frame affixed to a top opening of an existing JEEP®, a top layer deployment section selectively biased between wound and unwound positions, a bottom layer deployment section disposed subjacent to the top layer deployment section and independently biased between wound and unwound positions, a controller for manipulating the top layer deployment section and the bottom layer deployment section upon receiving a user input, and a power source communicatively coupled to the controller. Each of the top layer deployment section and the bottom layer deployment section span across at least one portion of the top opening of the existing JEEP®.
Crash structure for a motor vehicle, method for producing a crash structure of this type, and motor vehicle having a crash structure of this type
The invention relates to a crash structure for a motor vehicle, comprising a carrier body, from the carrier surface of which at least one deformation unit formed integrally with the carrier body protrudes, which deformation unit is formed by at least two deformation elements arranged one over the other and connected to each other and by an impact surface, wherein: a longitudinal section of each deformation element has two longitudinal section surfaces lying opposite each other and following respective non-straight curves; the impact surface is spaced apart from the carrier surface by the deformation elements.
Clamshell structural reinforcement
A structural reinforcement, utilized to reinforce a structural joint of a vehicle, and method of reinforcing a structural joint of a vehicle. The structural reinforcement having a clamshell structure comprising two complimentary halves. The structural reinforcement further comprising an activatable composition.
Roof panel assembly for a vehicle and a projector device for use in such roof panel assembly
A roof panel assembly for use in a roof of a vehicle comprises at least one roof panel, providing a first interior surface configured to be directed to an interior space of the vehicle and a second interior surface configured to be directed to the interior space of the vehicle. The roof panel assembly further comprises a support beam arranged between the first interior surface and the second interior surface and a projector device arranged on the support beam. The projector device is configured to project a light image on at least one of the first interior surface and the second interior surface.
DRIP MECHANISM OF SUNROOF DEVICE
To allow receiving rain water by moving a drip member upward and downward in a substantially horizontal direction with a tilting motion of a roof panel, a drip mechanism has a drip member including a trough in an upper surface and covering the entire length of a lower side of a rear edge of a roof panel; left and right movable bodies disposed on guiderails in left and right side portions of a frame; a lifting unit connecting the drip member to the left and right movable bodies that allows the drip member to move upward and downward; and an interlocking member connecting the drip member with the roof panel. In the lifting unit, front and rear link members connect the drip member with the movable body and a member urging, in a rising direction, portions of these front and rear link members and on the drip member-connected side.
Sunroof panel for vehicle and manufacturing method thereof
A sunroof apparatus for a vehicle includes a first side frame and a second side frame disposed at opposing ends of the sunroof apparatus in a vehicle width direction, a frame unit including a main frame, a first sub frame, and a second sub frame, the frame unit connecting an end portion of the first side frame and an end portion of the second side frame in the vehicle width direction, a fixed panel covering the opening portion of the main frame, and a joint layer covering a rim of the fixed panel and joining the main frame and the fixed panel. The first side frame and the second side frame are connected with the first sub frame and the second sub frame in the vehicle front-rear direction, respectively.
Tonneau cover assembly with a fluid management system
A bed cap configured for placement on a top surface of a bed wall defining a cargo area of a vehicle, the top surface defined between an inside wall and an outside wall, the bed cap covering the top surface between the inside wall and the outside wall at least along a section of a length of the bed wall, wherein the bed cap comprises a channel configured to collect fluid and/or debris and an opening for evacuating the fluid and/or debris from the channel.
Motor vehicle bumper
A motor vehicle bumper that has a transverse carrier which can be secured transversely relative to the longitudinal carriers of the motor vehicle by crash boxes. The transverse carrier has a shell member which is open toward the front side and which has a rear wall and two outer members which are both adjoined at the end side by an outwardly directed longitudinal flange. The shell member has a central longitudinal portion which is adjoined in the direction toward the two ends of the transverse carrier by a transition portion, an intermediate portion, a crash box connection portion and an end portion. The shell member is closed at least over the majority of the length thereof by a closure plate which forms the front side. In the transition portions, the shell member has a minimum depth which is less than the maximum depth in the central longitudinal portion.
