Utility terrain vehicle door assembly

A utility task vehicle includes a vehicle body including an opening. A door is positioned adjacent the opening. The door is configured to pivot about a first axis between an open position and a closed position. A window assembly is positioned adjacent and operably coupled to the door. The window assembly is configured to pivot about a second axis between an open position and a closed position. Rotation of the window assembly about the second axis is driven by rotation of said door about the first axis. In combination, the door and the window assembly substantially seal the opening of the vehicle body.

Structural member for vehicle

A structural member for vehicle 1 includes: a hollow member 10 made of metal, the hollow member 10 including cutout forming portions 12 arranged along a member longitudinal direction of the hollow member, the cutout forming portions 12 each having a cutout 13; and reinforcing parts 20 made of FRP, the reinforcing parts 20 bonded to the hollow member 10, the reinforcing parts 20 covering each of the cutouts 13 in each of the cutout forming portions 12, in which a first cutout forming portion 12a having the cutout 13 in the first region R.sub.1 and a second cutout forming portion 12b having the cutout 13 in the second region R.sub.2 are arranged alternately along the member longitudinal direction of the hollow member 10.

Active drag-reduction system and a method of reducing drag experienced by a vehicle
11603145 · 2023-03-14 · ·

An active drag-reduction system has first 22 and second 24 fluid outlets located on a vehicle 10 adjacent to a low pressure (drag) region 12, wherein fluid ejected from the second fluid outlet 24 is at a higher pressure/ejection velocity than from the first fluid outlet 22. Turbulent and/or low pressure regions adjacent to vehicles are not uniform, but rather have a varying intensity. For instance, the centre of a region may have a lower pressure and/or more turbulent nature than the periphery of the region. The system injects relatively higher pressure air or relatively higher speed air into the relatively lower pressure/more turbulent part of the low pressure/turbulent region, and relatively lower pressure air or relatively lower speed air into the relatively higher pressure/less turbulent part of the low pressure/turbulent region, compared to each other.

Vehicle body

A vehicle body includes: a rear side member that is extended in the front-rear direction at the rear portion of the vehicle body; a back panel that is in contact with a rear end of the rear side member; and a crash box that is disposed between the back panel and a rear bumper and is positioned behind the rear side member. The crash box is fixed to the back panel with a bolt passed through a bolt hole that is extended through the back panel and that is positioned above the rear end of the rear side member. The rear side member is a hollow beam having a pair of side plates, an upper plate, and a lower plate, and a rear portion of the upper plate configures a flange that is bent upward along a lower back panel. The flange covers the bolt and the bolt hole.

Vehicle body

A vehicle body includes a plurality of shock absorber housings positioned at right and left sides of the vehicle body and configured to cover and support shock absorbers of a vehicle, wherein a lower end of each of the shock absorber housings includes a flange unit comprising a plurality of flanges arranged along an outer periphery of the lower end of the shock absorber housing, and a connection member connecting the shock absorber housings to each other in a width direction of the vehicle body, wherein an end of the connection member is fitted between the flanges of the flange unit and is coupled to a corresponding one of the shock absorber housings.

A multi-function leaf-separating-discharging height-and-angle-adjustable louvered pergola comprises: opposing end caps, multi-screen-securing edges, rainwater-and-wind-sealing insulation strips attached to multi-screen-securing louver blades for automatically raising and lowering shade and video projection screens and controlling fruit-drying duration and also functioning as a truck-bed tonneau cover, cradle axels inserted between cradle caps and rotation cradles, stanchions and rotation cradles screwed to first and second leaf-discharging side gutter beams, corner posts, multi-louver-control bar connected to linkage arm, linkage arm connected to worm-gear transmission controlled by multi-screen-raising-lowering multi-louver-control crank, first and second rainwater-channeling-and-leaf-filtering side gutter beams attached to the corner posts, the discrete-leaf-filtering tubes, spouts, corner-post base plates, and height-and-angle-adjustable tube screws screwed into the corner-post base plates.

Deformable rear crossmembers with special extrusion section design for bending down in crash loadcases

A support extrusion for a subframe structure of a vehicle and methods of fabricating the same. In one example, a support extrusion can comprise a multicell structure that facilitates coupling the support extrusion with a rear crossmember of the subframe structure. The multicell structure can comprise a front cell column and a rear cell column that intervenes between the front cell column and the rear crossmember in a longitudinal direction of the subframe structure. The front cell column can comprise a trigger that facilitates plastically deforming the front cell column downward in a vertical direction of the subframe structure when subjected to impact forces of a frontal crash.
