Glazing system and sealing methods
Systems and methods including various glazing devices are provided for attaching a window structure to a frame of a vessel or vehicle to form a seal therebetween.
Vehicle door assembly, and methods of use and manufacture thereof
Some embodiments are directed to a weatherstrip and garnish assembly for use with a vehicle door that includes a body flange. The weatherstrip and garnish assembly can include a weatherstrip assembly that has a weatherstrip configured to be secured to the body flange of the vehicle door. The weatherstrip can include a curved portion. A sunshade garnish can be spaced from the curved portion of the weatherstrip to define a gap therebetween. A weatherstrip garnish can be disposed between the sunshade garnish and the weatherstrip so as to cover the gap. A first connector can connect the sunshade garnish to the weatherstrip garnish. A second connector can connect the weatherstrip garnish to the weatherstrip assembly.
METHOD FOR APPLYING SEALING PROFILES, BY WAY OF AN ADHESIVE-BONDING LAYER, TO VEHICLE BODIES OR THE PARTS THEREOF
A method and an apparatus for applying sealing profiles to vehicle bodies or parts thereof, includes drawing off the sealing profile from an unwinding unit and rolling the sealing profile onto the vehicle body or the part of the vehicle body along an application line provided for application purposes, by a pressure-exerting roller of an application head. An arrangement of an automatic optical inspection system within the application apparatus provides for direct detection of defects and discontinuities of the sealing profile by the user without any need for markings on the sealing profile wound up on the roll or for data handling between the manufacturer of the sealing profile and the user.
CONNECTOR WITH SEAL
A connector that includes a first U-shaped channel and a second U-shaped channel. The first U-shaped channel is defined by a first upper wall, a first lower wall, and a first end wall that connects the first upper wall and the first lower wall. The first U-shaped channel is adapted to receive a first enclosure panel. The second U-shaped channel is defined by a second upper wall, a second lower wall, and a second end wall that connects the second upper wall and the second lower wall. The second U-shaped channel is adapted to receive a second enclosure panel. The first U-shaped channel includes a first seal extending between the first upper wall and the first end wall. The first seal is compressed by the first enclosure panel when the first enclosure panel is received in the first U-shaped channel.

Seal assembly and the assembling method thereof
A seal assembly (100) is provided, which is used to seal the connection region between a glass (103) and a shaft assembly (108) passing through the glass (103). The shaft assembly (108) may comprise a shaft (113) and a threaded bushing (114) around the shaft (113). The seal assembly (100) may comprise an outer seal (101), which has a body portion (115) supported on the glass (103), and further comprises at least one sealing portion (116) to form at least one sealing area (119, 121); and the seal assembly (100) further comprises an inner rotatable seal (106), which has a body portion (122) with a thread (128) for engaging a thread (110) of the bushing (114), and which further comprises at least one second sealing portion (123) to form at least one sealing area (124). Therein, the body portion (115) of the outer seal (101) and the body portion (122) of the inner rotatable seal (106) have corresponding threads (102, 107) for engaging the outer seal (101) with the inner rotatable seal (106). The assembly (100) can prevent the water leakage at the connection region between the wiper and the vehicle body effectively. The assembly (100) is easy and convenient to be installed, with high reliability, and has an advantage in appearance.
ATTACHMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF WEATHER STRIP
The present disclosure provides an attachment system of a weather strip, including: a supply unit configured to unwind the weather strip that winds with a predetermined length and to supply the weather strip, an attaching unit configured to attach the weather strip to a surface of a component by the adhesive layer and to cut the weather strip at a predetermined position, a tag provided in the supply unit that is configured to store position information of the defective portion of the weather strip detected during the weather strip extruding process, a reader antenna provided during the weather strip assembling process that is configured to receive the position information of the defective portion, and a controller configured to control a cutting position of the weather strip discharging side of the attaching unit based on the position information of the defective portion.
Water management for a vehicle
A vehicle can include an A-pillar water management system. The system can include an inner body member of a vehicle. The system can include a channel member operatively connected to the inner body member. A channel can be defined at least partially by the channel member. The channel can open in a substantially vertically upward direction. The channel can have an open first end and a second end. The second end can be opposite the first end. The first end can be located closer to a front end of the vehicle than the second end. A seal, such as an A-pillar to front fender seal, can operatively engage the inner body member. The seal can extend in a substantially vertical direction. The channel can extend in a direction that is transverse to the seal. The channel can pass between the seal and the inner body member.
Hybrid door seal for a vehicle
A hybrid door seal for a vehicle includes a first seal member, a second seal member, and a corner seal member. The first seal member is configured to be received by a channel in a door frame. The second seal member is configured to be received by the channel in a door frame. The corner seal member connects the first seal member and the second seal member. The first seal member, the second seal member and the corner seal member are integrally formed as a one-piece member.
Vehicular rear slider window assembly with upper rail filler having at least one angled end
A vehicular slider window assembly for a vehicle includes at least one fixed window panel and a movable window panel that is movable along an upper rail and a lower rail at the at least one fixed window panel between a closed position and an opened position. The upper rail includes a channel, and a filler is disposed in the channel of the upper rail. The filler includes a filler body having opposite side walls and at least one obliquely angled end, and the filler includes compressible and flexible and deformable elements along respective ones of the side walls. The obliquely angled end or ends of the filler provide an indication as to whether the filler is disposed in the channel of the upper rail at the correct orientation relative to the upper rail or the incorrect orientation relative to the upper rail.
