Fuel pump for an internal combustion engine, wherein the fuel pump has: an auxiliary tank designed to receive a fuel flow from a low-pressure fuel pump; a pumping device drawing the fuel from the auxiliary tank through a suction duct; a Venturi choke arranged along the suction duct; and a degasification duct, which originates in a ceiling of the auxiliary tank and leads to the middle of the Venturi choke.

Methods and systems for aging a fuel tank in a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle

Methods and systems are provided for aging a new plastic fuel tank in a vehicle. In one example, during a plug-in event to recharge a battery of the vehicle, the fuel tank is isolated and the fuel pump is actuated to agitate fuel within the tank and increase fuel vapors until the plastic fuel tank becomes aged to a predetermined degree by fuel vapors generated therein. In this manner, the fuel tank is aged more rapidly, resulting in more accurate fuel level readings and less noise and vibration.

Quick connector of fuel transfer line

A quick connector of a fuel transfer line is provided to implement fuel blocking function upon abnormal fastening to a fuel inflow/outflow nipple disposed in a fuel transfer line of a vehicle and prevents fuel leakage due to incomplete fastening to the fuel inflow/outflow nipple. The quick connector is fastened to a fuel inflow/outflow nipple of a fuel transfer line and includes a connector casing that has a rear end to which a fuel inflow/outflow nipple is inserted and fastened. Additionally, a bypass cylinder is inserted into a front end of the connector casing in a linearly movable manner by hydraulic pressure of fuel and forms a flow path for a selective flow of fuel depending on a location within the connector casing.

FUEL DELIVERY TO A VEHICLE

A computer that includes a processor and memory which stores instructions executable by the processor. The instructions include: initiate, from a vehicle, a fuel delivery request for fuel delivery by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV); in response to the initiation, instruct a communication module in the vehicle to transmit a beacon signal to enable the UAV to locate the vehicle; and coordinate a docking procedure between the UAV and the vehicle to receive fuel from the UAV.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF PROVIDING A LIQUID LEVEL MONITOR

The embodiments are and include an apparatus, system and method for a liquid level monitoring dispenser for association with a liquid filled consumable. The apparatus, system and method may include: a receiver for receiving the consumable upon inversion thereof; at least one electrical contact within the receiver for communicative association with conductive strips on the consumable; a sensing module communicative with the at least one electrical contact and having associated therewith firmware for converting signals associated with the conductive strips and received at the electrical contact to an indication of the liquid level; a communications module for communicating the liquid level to at least a user display and over at least one network; a power module for powering at least the sensing module and the communications module; and at least one dispensing output in fluid communication with the consumable and capable of dispensing the liquid from the consumable to modify the liquid level.
