Adjusting a fuel on-board a vehicle
A fuel separation system includes a fuel separator configured to receive a fuel stream and separate the fuel stream, based on a volatility of the fuel stream, into a vapor stream defined by a first auto-ignition characteristic value and a first liquid stream defined by a second auto-ignition characteristic value, the second auto-ignition characteristic value greater than the first auto-ignition characteristic value; and a heat exchanger fluidly coupled between a fuel input of the fuel stream and the fuel separator, the heat exchanger configured to transfer heat from the vapor stream to the fuel stream, and output a heated fuel stream to the fuel separator and a second liquid stream defined by the first auto-ignition characteristic value.

Compliance structure for a distensible fuel tank
A distensible fuel tank included in a vehicle, comprising a housing and a compliance structure coupled to the housing, the compliance structure including a support element coupled to a first side of a structural element and a reinforcing element coupled to a second opposing side of the structural element.
FUEL PUMP SYSTEM OF HYBRID VEHICLE
A fuel pump system of a hybrid vehicle is provided. The fuel pump system prevents a fuel pump from continuing to operate when fuel is exhausted, whereby the fuel pump may be damaged. The pressure of fuel is measured in response to exhaustion of fuel, and when the pressure of fuel is low, fuel is circulated within the fuel pump instead of being supplied to the engine side, thereby preventing the fuel pump from being stuck due to frictional heat.
LOW EMISSION FLUID COUPLER
A fluid coupler includes: an outer body; an end connector being at least partially received inside the outer body and configured to receive pressurized fluid; an inner body received inside the outer body, the inner body being moveable with respect to the outer body; a seat holder and a valve seat both located inside of the inner body, the valve seat being configured to press against an inner surface of the inner body to close the fluid coupler; a connector partially housed within the inner body, the connector comprising a first end secured to the seat holder and a second end. The fluid coupler defines a pressurized fluid flow path enabling pressurized fluid to contact and pressurize the end connector, the inner body, the seat holder, and the connector without contacting and pressurizing the outer body.
AIR CLEANER FOR VEHICLE
The present invention discloses an air cleaner for a vehicle. An air cleaner for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a housing having an intake port for suctioning air and an outtake port for supplying the air suctioned through the intake port to an engine system of the vehicle; and an element installed in the housing to filter the air suctioned through the intake port, and the air cleaner further includes an evaporation gas collecting unit installed at an upper part of the inside of the housing to collect evaporation gas.
QUICK CONNECTOR OF FUEL TRANSFER LINE
A quick connector of a fuel transfer line is provided. The quick connector is fastened to a fuel inflow/outflow nipple of a fuel transfer line and includes a connector casing that has a rear end to which a fuel inflow/outflow nipple is inserted and fastened. Additionally, a bypass cylinder is inserted into a front end of the connector casing in a linearly movable manner by hydraulic pressure of fuel and forms a flow path for a selective flow of fuel depending on a location within the connector casing.
Vehicle storage system with vapour control
A vehicle storage system with vapor control. The storage system includes: a vehicle tank including a vapor outlet, a filter unit including a filter inlet and outlet, a housing including a first port communicating with the vapor outlet, a second port communicating with the filter inlet, a third port communicating with the filter outlet, and a fourth port. A closure body is moveably arranged in the housing, the closure body configured to: close the third and fourth ports in a first position of the closure body, create in the housing a barrier between a first volume and a second volume in a second position of the closure body, the first volume forming a passage between the first and second ports, and the second volume forming a passage between the third and fourth ports, and close the first and second ports in a third position of the closure body.
Self-sealing bladders and related methods
A self-sealing bladder may automatically seal a puncture wound formed in a bladder wall thereof, such as due to being perforated by a projectile. Self-sealing bladders may be used in containers, such as fuel tanks, in order to prevent loss of fuel or other fluid from the container. Self-sealing bladders may contain a sealant material contained within one or more localized reservoirs formed within the bladder wall, the sealant material being pressurized within the bladder wall such that a localized reduction in pressure due to a perforation in the bladder wall causes the sealant material to migrate to the perforated site, whereupon the sealant material hardens, thereby sealing the wound. The localized reservoirs may include one or more channels and/or connecting layers extending therefrom and in fluid communication therewith, to facilitate migration of the sealant material away from the localized reservoirs and towards the perforated portion of the bladder wall.
Rear fender module
The present disclosure relates to a rear fender module for arrangement on a side panel of a motor vehicle body. The rear fender module includes a fender shell and at least one add-on part arranged thereon. The fender shell has at least two fastening sites for detachable fastening on the side panel.
