PTO LUBRICATION SYSTEM FOR HYBRID VEHICLES
A vehicle drive system includes a first prime mover, a transmission, a power take-off (PTO), a lubrication system for the transmission and the PTO, and a control system. The transmission is powered by the first prime mover. The transmission is configured to rotate a drive shaft of the vehicle. The PTO is connected to the transmission at a first interface. The PTO includes the first interface and a second interface. The control system is configured to control fluid flow through the lubrication system for at least one mode where the input section of the PTO is stationary and the output section rotates.
CONDUCTIVE CHARGING UNIT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A CONDUCTIVE CHARGING UNIT
A conductive charging unit for a motor vehicle for electrically charging an energy storage device of the motor vehicle, including a charging contact unit with a charging contact which, for electrically conductive coupling to a charging connection of a charging plate external to the motor vehicle, is moved from a retracted position into an extended position in an extension direction and has a protective cover surrounding the charging contact unit perpendicular to the extension direction, which protective cover is extended together with the charging contact. The protective cover has a first end and a second end opposite in the extension direction with an edge region. The edge region has a circumferential hollow chamber, which includes at least one opening which provides a fluidic connection between the environment of the charging unit.
HYBRID ELECTRIC HYDRAULIC REFUSE VEHICLE
A refuse vehicle includes a vehicle body on a chassis having a frame, an internal combustion engine (ICE), and a transmission coupling the ICE with a plurality of tractive elements. The vehicle body includes an electrically powered body system and a hydraulically powered body system. A first power module is coupled with the ICE and is configured to provide rotary power to a hydraulic pump that is configured to provide hydraulic power to the hydraulically powered body system. A second power module is coupled with the transmission and configured to rotationally couple and decouple an electrical generator with the transmission. The generator is configured to charge at least one battery when rotationally coupled with the transmission. The battery is configured to provide electrical power to the electrically powered body system.
Electrified military vehicle
A control system for operating a military vehicle according to different modes includes processing circuitry that receives a user input indicating a selected mode of the different modes, and operates a driveline and a front end accessory drive (FEAD) of the military vehicle according to the selected mode. The driveline of the military vehicle includes an engine and an integrated motor generator (IMG) and the FEAD includes multiple accessories and an electric motor-generator. The modes include an engine mode and an electric mode. In the engine mode, the engine drives the FEAD and drives tractive elements of the military vehicle through the IMG for transportation. In the electric mode, the engine is shut off to reduce a sound output of the military vehicle and the IMG drives the tractive elements of the military vehicle for transportation and the electric motor-generator drives the FEAD.
