An ergonomic adapter for a transmission tower for a motor vehicle, such as a tractor-trailer is disclosed. The adapter includes a tower mounting bracket that is removably coupled to the tower of the transmission and can be positioned at a selected position along the height of the transmission tower and at a selected angular position about an axis of the tower. The adapter also includes an extension bracket rotatably coupled with the tower mounting bracket about an extension axis. The extension bracket can be fixed to the tower mounting bracket at a selected angular position about the extension axis. The adapter also includes a handle rotatably coupled to the extension bracket about a handle axis. The handle can be fixed to the handle at a selected angular position about the handle axis. The adapter allows a driver to adapt the transmission tower to the driver's body to provide improved operation of the vehicle.

Control panel assembly

A control panel assembly for mounting to an interior compartment of a wrecker, the control assembly comprising an extendable arm assembly and a control panel. The extendable arm assembly is mounted to the interior compartment and comprises arms which are foldable relative to each other for adopting a compact configuration and an extended configuration. The control panel is mounted to the extendable arm assembly and comprises wrecker controls. The control panel is movable between an inner position, wherein the extendable arm assembly is in the compact configuration and the wrecker controls are located within the interior compartment, and an outer position, wherein the extendable arm assembly is in the extended configuration and the wrecker controls are located outside the interior compartment.

Vehicle corner modules and vehicles comprising them

A vehicle corner module (VCM) is provided for regulating motion of a host vehicle which comprises a vehicle-on-board vehicle-controller. The VCM comprises a sub-frame mountable to a reference frame of the host vehicle; a wheel-hub assembly comprising a wheel-hub; VCM-sub-systems mediating between the sub-frame and the wheel-hub assembly, e.g., a drive subsystem, a steering subsystem, a suspension subsystem and/or a braking subsystem; and an VCM-onboard VCM-controller, comprising one or more processors and a computer-readable medium storing program instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to establish a communication link with a vehicle-controller, including electronically transferring information about the VCM from the VCM-controller to the vehicle-controller, and to perform, in response to an installation of the VCM on a vehicle, a post-installation validation-process that includes validating the VCM-subsystems and communicating a result of the validating to the vehicle-controller.

Distributed operator control for work vehicles

An operator control arrangement has first and second operator controls with pluralities of first and second controls configured to provide inputs to at least one controller to control respective first and second sets of operations of machine-positioning and implement-positioning components. The first and second sets of operations include pluralities of machine-positioning and implement-positioning operations. The pluralities of first controls and/or inputs are numbered within fifty percent of the pluralities of second controls and/or inputs, respectively.

Operator control for work vehicles

A control arrangement for a work vehicle has a first operator control configured to provide a steering input to turn steered wheels of the vehicle, and a second operator control having two control switches configured to provide a wheel lean input to lean the steered wheels and an articulation input to articulate the chassis of the vehicle. The control switches are positioned on the second operator control so that a single movement of a single digit of an operator's hand applied to the control switches simultaneously initiates the wheel lean input and the articulation input.

It is an object to secure a state where an operator easily reaches various operating means with a hand, and to reliably maintain an original function of an arm rest (to put the hand on the arm for rest). A working vehicle is configured such that speed of power from an engine provided in a traveling machine body is changed by a hydraulic continuously variable transmission, and the power is transmitted to a traveling unit and a working unit. An arm rest on which the operator's arm and hand are put is placed on a side of a cockpit in the traveling machine body. A main transmission lever which changes traveling speed by the traveling unit is arranged on a front end of the arm rest on the side of the cockpit. An elevating dial which hoists and lowers the working unit is arranged on a side surface of the arm rest on the opposite side from the cockpit.

Commercial walk behind mower operator controls include a rigid handlebar with a pair of hand grips, each hand grip having a non-horizontal axis. A pair of operator control levers are mounted adjacent the handlebar and hand grips. Both operator control levers are pivotable about a single pivot point having a pivot axis that is non-parallel to the axis of each hand grip. Each operator control lever is pivotable toward the hand grip to reduce the rotational speed of a drive wheel.
