VEHICLE ACTIVATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Methods and systems for activating electric vehicles are provided. One method includes, in response to a first command to activate the vehicle, transitioning the vehicle from an inactive state to a wake state where a controller of the vehicle is activated and the vehicle is prevented from being propelled by an electric motor of the vehicle. The method also includes, in response to receiving a second command to activate the vehicle after receiving the first command, transitioning the vehicle from the wake state to a ready state where the vehicle is permitted to be propelled by the electric motor.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FIBER OPTIC BASED VEHICLE-DIRECTION DETECTION
A device may receive fiber sensing data identifying vehicles traveling on a roadway associated with a fiber optic network and location data identifying geographical locations of the vehicles traveling on the roadway. The device may process the fiber sensing data, with a machine learning model, to identify a particular vehicle, of the vehicles, that is traveling in a wrong direction on the roadway. The device may process the location data, with the machine learning model, to identify locations of the roadway, a cellular network associated with the roadway, and vehicle devices of the vehicles traveling on the roadway, other than the particular vehicle, and a nearest camera device to the particular vehicle. The device may perform one or more actions based on the locations of the roadway, the cellular network associated with the roadway, and the vehicle devices of the vehicles traveling on the roadway, other than the particular vehicle.
RUNAWAY PREVENTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Systems and methods of stopping propulsion of an electric vehicle in an emergency situation are provided. One method includes receiving a command to stop propulsion of the electric vehicle while the electric vehicle is in motion, and in response to the command, attempting to regulate an operation of an electric motor of the electric vehicle toward a no-load operating state of the electric motor while the electric vehicle is in motion. When the operation of the electric motor is outside a prescribed range of the no-load operating state after attempting to regulate the operation of the electric motor toward the no-load operating state, the method includes causing braking of the electric motor.
Locomotive-mounted power battery pack fire safety control system and method
A locomotive-mounted power battery pack fire safety control system includes a power battery pack, a power battery management system main controller, a rolling stock microcomputer system and a rolling stock display screen. The power battery pack is an enclosed installation isolated from external air. An inert gas injection pipe, a smoke detector and a temperature detector are arranged at the top end inside the power battery pack. An inert gas storage device is arranged outside the power battery pack. The inert gas storage device is connected with the inert gas injection pipe. A pressure detector and an inert gas injection control switch are arranged in turn on a pipeline through which the inert gas storage device discharges an inert gas to the power battery pack. The pressure detector and the inert gas injection control switch are connected with the rolling stock microcomputer system.
Vehicle remote start prevention alert
A motor vehicle includes at least one camera capturing images of an environment outside of the motor vehicle. A proximity sensor detects an object disposed adjacent to the motor vehicle. An electronic processor receives the images captured by the at least one camera, and receives a proximity signal from the proximity sensor. The proximity signal is indicative of whether an object is disposed adjacent to the motor vehicle. The electronic processor determines, based upon the images captured by the at least one camera and the proximity signal, whether the motor vehicle is disposed within an enclosure. The electronic processor receives an engine start request signal that has been wirelessly transmitted by a user. In response to receiving the engine start request signal, the electronic processor causes the engine start system to start an engine of the motor vehicle when the motor vehicle is not disposed within an enclosure.
Vehicle control device, vehicle control method, and storage medium
A vehicle control device includes a recognizer configured to recognize at least a surroundings situation and an in-vehicle situation of a vehicle, and a driving controller configured to perform at least one of speed control and steering control of the vehicle on the basis of a recognition result of the recognizer, the recognizer is configured to recognize an object to be loaded including at least any one of an occupant candidate present outside the vehicle and scheduled to board the vehicle and a baggage candidate present outside the vehicle and scheduled to be loaded into the vehicle, and to recognize that the object to be loaded has been loaded into the vehicle, and the driving controller is configured to permit start of travel of the vehicle in a case where the recognizer has recognized that all of the objects to be loaded have been loaded into the vehicle.
