A vehicle control device includes an electronic control unit configured to: enlarge the detection range, when the electronic control unit determines that a current deceleration support control is control for passing the object; set a new target deceleration of the host vehicle when a new object with a possibility of collision with the host vehicle has been detected in the enlarged detection range; determine whether an interval from an ending time of the current deceleration support control to a starting time of the next deceleration support control is less than a threshold value, when the electronic control unit determines that the next deceleration support control is control for passing the new object; and perform one of the inter-vehicle distance control and acceleration support control from the ending time to the starting time, when the electronic control unit determines that the interval is less than the threshold value.

The present invention obtains a controller and a control method capable of achieving appropriate cornering during cruise control of a straddle-type vehicle.
In the controller and the control method according to the present invention, during the cruise control, in which acceleration/deceleration of the straddle-type vehicle is automatically controlled without relying on an accelerating/decelerating operation by a driver, an entry of a curved road is detected on the basis of a predicted route of the straddle-type vehicle, and the straddle-type vehicle is decelerated at a time point before the straddle-type vehicle reaches the entry.

A method for overriding a driving mode in an automatic longitudinal guidance mode of a motor vehicle includes setting a longitudinal guidance mode in the motor vehicle, providing a target speed for a journey event in the longitudinal guidance mode, manually overriding the target speed when the journey event is driven through by the motor vehicle, and aborting of the longitudinal guidance mode if the target speed of the journey event cannot be achieved within a settable delay.

A method and apparatus for controlling a vehicle are disclosed. The method comprises acquiring an acceleration of a front wheel and a rear wheel, determining that the front wheel is passing a bump of a road in response to determining that the acceleration of the front wheel is outside an acceleration range and fluctuates in the range wider than the acceleration range within a first maximum time period, determining that the rear wheel is passing the bump in response to determining that the acceleration of the rear wheel is outside the acceleration range and fluctuates in the range wider than the acceleration range within a second maximum time period, and in response to determining that the front wheel has passed the bump and the rear wheel is passing the bump, controlling a drive unit of the vehicle.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VEHICLE BASED ON PASSAGE OF BUMP OF ROAD
A method and apparatus for controlling a vehicle are disclosed. Work Vehicle
A work vehicle includes an output pedal that controls the output of a motive section, a biasing member that biases the output pedal to return, and a brake pedal that operates a travel brake to a braking state. Also included are a holding section operable to a holding state of holding the output pedal at any depressed position and to a release state of releasing the holding of the output pedal, and a manual operating tool for manually operating the holding section to the holding state. Further included are a brake linkage section that operates the holding section to the release state when the brake pedal is depressed in the holding state, and an output linkage section that operates the holding section to the release state when the output pedal is depressed in the holding state.

The present invention provides a vehicle control device in which it is possible to modify the travel trajectory of a vehicle in response to the presence of an obstruction in the vehicle perimeter. In the present invention, the vehicle control device 1 recognizes the surroundings of the vehicle, detects a first branching point in a first route that is preset on a road, and in cases in which a prescribed condition is met by the presence of an obstruction detected from the recognized surroundings when the vehicle is to move along a travel trajectory that is based on at least one second route from among a plurality of second routes that branch from the first branching point, generates a virtual route which branches from the first route at a second branching point differing from the first branching point toward the selected second route, and modifies the travel trajectory on the basis of the generated virtual route.

A vehicle includes a body holding device configured to hold the body of a seated driver; a travel control unit configured to drive the vehicle body so that it travels; and a maximum vehicle speed setting unit configured to set a set maximum vehicle speed. The travel control unit controls an output from the driving unit based on the operation amount of an accelerator device if the vehicle speed is lower than the set maximum vehicle speed, and restricts the output from the driving unit irrespective of the operation amount of the accelerator device if the vehicle speed is equal to or higher than the set maximum vehicle speed. The maximum vehicle speed setting unit sets, if it is detected that the body holding device is worn, a first vehicle speed as the set maximum vehicle speed, and sets, if it is detected that the body holding device is not worn, a second vehicle speed lower than the first vehicle speed as the set maximum vehicle speed.
