There is disclosed herein examples of systems and procedures for performing software updates for vehicles. The vehicles may be scheduled for the software updates based on information related to the vehicles. Update systems may determine when the vehicles have entered service ranges of the update systems for the scheduled software updates and may initiate the software updates in response to determining that the vehicles have entered the service ranges. Progress of the software updates may be monitored and displayed on a dashboard system overseeing the software updates of the vehicles.

A vehicle includes at least one such vehicle arrangement, and a method provides a display in or on a vehicle.

VEHICLE

A vehicle is provided. A detector detects an object at least ahead of the vehicle. A display is provided on an instrument panel of the vehicle and displays a signal at a position corresponding to a direction of the object detected by the detector. The display includes a part recessed forward in a vehicle longitudinal direction in plan view.

DISPLAY DEVICE

A display device includes a device housing that is configured to be installed such that an occulted portion including a portion of a peripheral wall of the device housing is hidden from an observer of a display screen, and a slide attaching part that is moved to slide in a sliding direction from a non-occulted portion to the occulted portion and attached so as to cover a back side of the device housing. A slide receiving part including the device housing includes a fixed part provided at the occulted portion and an engaged part provided at the non-occulted portion, and the slide attaching part includes a fixing part provided at a portion corresponding to the occulted portion and configured to be fixed to the fixed part, and an engaging part provided at a portion corresponding to the non-occulted portion and configured to be engaged with the engaged part.
