An independent cart system includes an inductive link for contactless power transfer between a track and each mover as the mover travels along the track. A system for contactless data transmission between movers and a controller in the independent cart system includes a transmitter and/or receiver mounted on each mover and a complementary receiver and/or transmitter mounted on a track. The transmitter receives data to be transmitted across the inductive link and modulates a voltage present on either the primary or secondary winding to which it is coupled. The modulated voltage present on one winding induces a corresponding modulation on the voltage present on the other winding. A receiver operatively connected to the other side of the inductive link detects the modulated voltage and decodes the data from the modulated voltage received across the inductive link.

The second induction section is configured to move relative to the first induction section in a path along the extensions. The first induction section is configured to induce current in the second induction section, including when the second core moves relative to the first core along the extensions, to provide a contactless induction coupling between the first induction section and the second induction section.

The pilot control circuit adjusts a pilot control pressure and the relay valve uses a pilot control pressure to control a power pressure to provide a required working pressure for the pressing force of the current collector.

The charger with the main body having a first shape moves toward the electric vehicle, and is then transformed to have a second shape. The first shape refers to a shape allowing the main body to be movable on a ground, and the second shape refers to a shape making the main body occupy a smaller surrounding area of the electric vehicle than the first shape. The electric vehicle is charged as connected to the charger having the second shape. The charger does not obstruct traffic of other vehicles because its size is reduced during charging.
