BOND PIN ASSEMBLY FOR CONNECTING CONNECTION CABLES
20170158083 · 2017-06-08 ·

A bond pin assembly for connecting a connection cable with a rail, comprising: a bond pin that is inserted into a through hole in the rail, said bond pin having a transition portion and a screw portion, a diameter of one end of the transition portion being larger than a diameter of the other end of the transition portion, the end of the transition portion having a smaller diameter being connected with the screw portion; a conductive sleeve that is provided between the bond pin and a wall of the through hole of the rail, and a nut that is screwed on the screw portion to fasten an end of the connection cable between the nut and a side wall of the rail. By inserting the conductive sleeve with the shape corresponding to those of the through hole and the bond pin between the through hole and the bond pin and further taking fastening measure, the structural intensity of the bond bin assembly can be increased effectively.

The invention relates to a line section for the operation of electrically driven rail vehicles, with a track which exhibits two parallel rails, with a contact line borne by an insulator, said contact line being arranged on one side of the track in a spatial region extending parallel to the rails, wherein the contact line is intended to supply current-collectors of the electrically driven rail vehicles with current and to support said current-collectors from underneath, and wherein the contact line and the insulator bearing the contact line are intermittently interrupted or not interrupted. The support device, which is non-functional for the power supply of the rail vehicle, is arranged on the other side of the track in a second spatial region extending parallel to the rails. The support device is intended to support current-collectors of the electrically driven rail vehicles from underneath without supplying them with current.

SIMULATION SYSTEM FOR CURRENT COLLECTING SURFACE OF C-TYPE CONTACT RAIL

A simulation system for a current collecting surface of a C-shaped contact rail includes a double-headed rail and a limiting plate. A current collecting end surface of the double-headed rail has a same current collection area as an actual C-shaped contact rail. The limiting plate matches the inner contour of the C-shaped contact rail. A constructed test line can simulate the current collecting status of the C-shaped contact rail. The limiting plate and the existing double-headed rail are combined, and compared with reproduction of the C-shaped contact rail, the manufacturing cycle is short, the costs are low, and it is applicable to the test line.

Magnetic Rail Bond
20170012387 · 2017-01-12 ·

Magnetic means and apparatus for implementing rail bonds and rail feeds. A rail bond embodiment comprises an electrical conductor. Mechanically and electrically coupled to each end of the electrical conductor is a magnet that comprises a magnetic material that is plated with an electrically conductive material. In an alternative embodiment, the magnet comprises a magnetic material that is disposed between two pieces of steel or other metal. In operation, the two magnets are attached to two rail sections, across a joint separating the rails, via the attractive magnetic force between each magnet and its associated rail. In this way, the electrical circuit comprising the rails is maintained.
