DRIVER DETECTION STEERING WHEEL
Example systems and methods for a driver detection steering wheel are disclosed. An example disclosed vehicle includes a steering wheel, a driver, a detector, and an enabling module. The example steering wheel includes a plurality of capacitive sensors. The example driver is to change voltage levels on the plurality of capacitive sensors. The example detector is to measure time delays corresponding to the plurality of capacitive sensors, and determine a number of hands on the steering wheel based on the time delays. The example enabling module is to, in response to the detector detecting two hands on the steering wheel, grant access to an infotainment system.
Fabric with electrical function element
The present invention relates to a fabric (30, 31) with at least one support (41, 41′), with at least two electrical function elements (70), and with at least one seam (40). It is provided that at least two of the electrical function elements (70) are in the form of strands and integrated in the seam (40).
SEAT
The present invention provides a seat which reduces the load applied to a first fastening part, is unlikely to cause wrinkles or slack in a surface cover, and makes surface sheet attachment and detachment simple. To this end, a first fastening part and a second fastening part of a seat are attachable and detachable; hence, it is possible to easily exchange a surface cover according to the season and to clean the surface cover. The second fastening part attachably/detachably connects the surface cover and the rear-surface cover to one another. As a result, the second fastening part appropriately reduces the load directly applied to the first fastening part, making it possible to prevent damage to the first fastening part, and making it unlikely for wrinkles or slack to occur in the surface cover. Furthermore, the second fastening part is the same color and hue at each suspended section; hence, aligning the surface sheet position is easy.
ARMREST
The armrest comprises an arm support that is vertically adjustable by an adjuster that is held on the vehicle frame. The adjustment takes place here independently of a storage compartment. In this way, the vertical position of the armrest can be adapted to the size of the occupants of the seat. The adjuster can be operated with a manual drive or electrically as an alternative, for example. The adjuster has a guide fixed to the vehicle frame and a slide that carries the arm support and that is vertically shiftable on the guide.
System and method for detecting surface vibrations
A system for detecting vibrations from a surface is provided. The system includes a coherent light source for projecting a multi-beam pattern onto the surface and an imaging device for mapping a speckle field generated by each spot formed on the surface by the multi-beam pattern to a unique region of an imaging sensor. The system further includes a processor for processing speckle field information received by the imaging sensor and deriving surface vibration information.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A STATE OF A DRIVER
Electronic devices and methods are provided in which a pressure applied, by a driver, to a seat of a moving object driven by the driver is sensed. A state of the driver is determined based on frequency characteristics with respect to a change in the pressure sensed by the sensor.
NAVIGATION SYSTEM WITH NOTIFICATION MECHANISM AND METHOD OF OPERATION THEREOF
A method of operation of a navigation system includes: determining an occupancy status with a capturing sensor based on detecting a passenger presence in real time; determining a lane availability of a lane type based on a current location 208; generating an access notification based on the occupancy status, the lane availability for traversing on the lane type; and updating the access notification with a control unit dynamically and in real time based on a change in the occupancy status, the lane availability, or a combination thereof for presenting on a device.
Proximity alarm and child seat pressure sensor
The proximity alarm and child seat pressure sensor is a safety device. The proximity alarm and child seat pressure sensor detects the presence of a child in a child safety seat. The child is in the custody of a custodian. The proximity alarm and child seat pressure sensor measures the span of the distance between the child safety seat and the custodian. If, while a child is detected in the child safety seat, the span of the distance between the child safety seat and the custodian is greater than a previously determined distance, the proximity alarm and child seat pressure sensor sends an alarm directly to the custodian. If the custodian fails to respond to the alarm within a previously determined amount of time, the proximity alarm and child seat pressure sensor sends an alarm informing the appropriate authority of the location of an unattended child.
Vehicle occupancy reminder
The vehicle occupancy reminder is configured for use with a vehicle that is further defined with a vehicle engine control unit (VECU) that generates an ignition off signal and a door open signal. The vehicle occupancy reminder monitors the vehicle for a passenger in a child safety seat. The vehicle occupancy reminder generates a plurality of alarms when: a) a passenger is detected in the child safety seat after the VECU has transmitted an ignition off signal to the vehicle occupancy reminder; or, b) a passenger is detected in the child safety seat after the VECU has transmitted a door open signal to the vehicle occupancy reminder. When the vehicle occupancy reminder detects a selected alarm condition alarm condition, the vehicle occupancy reminder generates a plurality of visual, audible, and tactile alarms that alert an appropriate authority that a selected alarm condition has occured.
SHIPPING CONTAINER INFORMATION RECORDATION TECHNIQUES
System and method for obtaining and recording information about cargo includes a frame defining a cargo-receivable compartment, a position determining system at least partly on the frame and that allows for determination of position of the frame, an identification system on the frame that obtains information about cargo when present in the compartment, a memory component that receives and records information about position and movement of the frame, and the obtained information about cargo when present in the compartment in association with a unique identification of the frame, and a communications system on the frame to enable communication of information to and from the memory component.
