System and method for loading cargo onto an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). One embodiment is a cargo pod for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The cargo pod includes a hollow body that forms a section of a fuselage of the UAV, and further includes a latching mechanism that releasably secures the hollow body with the fuselage of the UAV.

A cargo strap gun assembly includes a cylinder that has an open end and a closed end. The cylinder is substantially hollow and the open end can receive a cargo strap. A plunger is slidably positioned in the cylinder and the plunger is compressible into a loaded position. The plunger is biased into a fired position to launch the cargo strap outwardly from the cylinder thereby facilitating the cargo strap to be launched over a load. A cocking mechanism is slidably integrated into the cylinder to urge the plunger into the loaded position. A trigger is movably integrated into the cylinder to facilitate the plunger to be biased into the fired position.

A modular shelving unit includes a base plate that is planar in an expanded configuration. A first foldable wall is connected to a first side of the base plate. A second foldable wall is connected to a second side of the base plate. The first foldable wall has a first segment and a second segment, and the second foldable wall has a third segment and a fourth segment. The second and fourth segments are rotatable about a respective hinge to define an interior surface with its respective first or third segment when in the expanded configuration. Shelves extend from the interior surfaces in the expanded configuration. In the collapsed configuration, the second and fourth segments are rotated about their respective hinges out of planar with their respective first and third segments. A roll tarp system for a truck or trailer having a container with a rear door. The roll tarp system includes a roll tarp mounted to an axle assembly and a cable coupler assembly coupled to the axle assembly. A flexible cable connects the cable coupler assembly to a rear arm which is pivotally attached to the rear door. The cable coupler assembly includes first and second hinge members and is rotatably coupled to the axle assembly to permit unrolling and rolling up of the tarp and to permit opening of the rear door in a sideways or upward direction. The cable coupler assembly may include one or more apertures to permit access to a manual drive shaft which passes through the cable coupler assembly.

A strapping device to secure an item, the strapping device comprising an elongate rod extending along a longitudinal rod axis, the rod having a proximal end, an opposed distal end and a central portion extending between the proximal end and the distal end, a handle coupled to the proximal end of the elongate rod, a strap arm coupled to the distal end of the elongate rod, a wound strap positioned around at least a portion of the strap arm, and at least one retainer positioned on the strap arm at a desired position relative to the elongate rod and configured to guide the strap.

A ratcheting strap storage assembly for includes a box that has a first compartment and a second compartment. The first compartment contains a ratcheting mechanism of a ratcheting strap for storage. The second compartment contains a strap of the ratcheting strap being coiled therein for storage. A winding mechanism is rotatably coupled to the box and the strap of the ratcheting strap is coupled to the winding mechanism. The winding mechanism wraps the strap therearound when the winding mechanism is rotated in a winding direction to coil the strap within the second compartment for storage. The winding mechanism unwinds the strap when the winding mechanism is rotated in the unwinding direction to release the strap from the box.
