Based on the received vehicle operator data and the received ancillary data, a multi-dimension risk score module may calculate risk scores associated with the received vehicle operator data and the received ancillary data. Subsequently, the vehicle control systems may cause the vehicle to perform at least one of a close call detection action and a close call detection alert to lessen the risk associated with the received vehicle operator data and the received ancillary data.

Technologies and techniques for reducing a collision risk between a first motor vehicle and a second motor vehicle. At least a first vehicle-to-environment message is transmitted by the first motor vehicle and received by the second motor vehicle. Using a second computing unit of the second motor vehicle, it is determined, depending on the vehicle-to-environment message, whether a risk situation exists in which the first motor vehicle is obscured by a preceding third motor vehicle. The second computing unit executes a criticality analysis to determine that the risk situation exists and, depending on the result of the criticality analysis, a risk-reducing measure is initiated.
Method and system for displaying probability of a collision
A maneuvering assistance system for a vehicle determines a scalar field representing the probability of collision with an object at locations proximate to the vehicle with a controller located within the vehicle. The probability of collision is determined based on information received indicative of vehicle motion and the proximity of the object to the vehicle, and the field of collision probability is then communicated as a visual representation to an operator of the vehicle.

The system is activated using a remote controller area network device attached to the factory installed controller area network system to detect the presence of a driver or caregiver exiting the vehicle when the living entity is present within the vehicle. Should the driver side door open with the living entity within the vehicle, the head unit controller alarms to notify the driver of such. Integration with vehicle telematic services enables delivery of alerts and information to parents, caregivers, emergency contacts, and emergency responders.

Detecting a Moving Object in the Passenger Compartment of a Vehicle
Disclosed are computer implemented methods for detecting a moving object in the passenger compartment of a vehicle. In an aspect, the method includes illuminating the inside of the passenger compartment of the vehicle using an infrared light source, obtaining a stream of a plurality of consecutive images from the inside of the illuminated passenger compartment of the vehicle using an infrared camera, identifying moving objects in the stream based on an object detection algorithm using a processor, and improving the image quality of the moving objects in the stream based on a machine-learning algorithm using the processor.
AUGMENTED AUDIO ENHANCED PERCEPTION SYSTEM
A method of using an augmented audio enhanced perception system, comprising: tracking at least one object with at least one helmet mounted sensing unit; processing at least one of the at least one tracked object and an ambient sound by a processing unit; and, providing at least one of a synthesized audio signal and a processed ambient sound to a first user of the system using an audio interface unit, to provide information concerning the at least one object to the first user.
