There is provided a rear sign lamp capable of enhancing safety. An LED string (502) includes four LEDs (504_1 to 504_4) connected in series. An LED driver circuit (610) receives a battery voltage (V.sub.IN) and supplies a drive current (I.sub.LED) stabilized at a target current (I.sub.REF) to the LED string (502). A bypass circuit (620) is provided in parallel with a bypassed portion (503) including two adjacent LEDs (504_3 and 504_4) of the LED string (502), and sinks a bypass current (I.sub.BYPASS) according to a battery voltage (V.sub.IN).

A method for estimating a temperature of a light emitting module having a plurality of light emitting elements is provided. The method includes, based on a lighting pattern of the light emitting module, which represents an intensity of light emitted from each of the light emitting elements, estimating respective temperatures of at least a part of the light emitting elements that are operated in accordance with the lighting pattern.

A method for estimating a temperature of a light emitting module having a plurality of light emitting elements is provided. The method includes, based on a lighting pattern of the light emitting module, which represents an intensity of light emitted from each of the light emitting elements, estimating respective temperatures of at least a part of the light emitting elements that are operated in accordance with the lighting pattern.

A lamp control device includes a converter configured to provide an output voltage and an internal voltage; a lamp including an LED module which has a plurality of LED channels, and configured to emit light in correspondence to the output voltage of the converter; and a controller configured to operate by using the internal voltage of the converter, control the output voltage of the converter to be retained at a level equal to or higher than a predetermined level, by using feedback voltages of the plurality of LED channels, and control channel currents of the plurality of LED channels to be regulated in correspondence to memory values which are set in advance.
Vehicle lighting assembly
A vehicle is provided herein that includes a door coupled to a body structure of a vehicle. The door is movable between a first and a second position to provide access to an interior portion of the vehicle. A photoluminescent structure is disposed on the door and is configured to luminesce in response to excitation light emitted by a light source. The light source is vertically disposed below the photoluminescent structure on the door in both the first and second positions.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the forced light up of brake lights and, more specifically, to an apparatus for controlling the forced light up of brake lights, the apparatus: checking whether a brake light system has problems so as to prevent vehicle rear-ending accidents caused by the breakdown of vehicle brake lights, informing only a driver, according to a state of a vehicle, about each problem, or sensing stepping on the brake and forcedly lighting up the brake lights whenever the driver steps on the brake when the lamp of the brake lights and wiring connected to the brake lights have no abnormalitites, but the breakdown of the brake light system, that is, a brake lights power fuse disconnection, a breakdown of a brake lights relay, a wiring disconnection or defective wiring contact and the like occurs, informs the driver of the stop lamp system breakdown; informing the rear vehicle of danger by flickering a turn signal light since the brake lights cannot be forcedly lit up when both the brake light system and the brake lights have broken down; informing the driver of the breakdown of the brake light system and the brake lights by operating an internal alarm means whenever the driver steps on and releases the brake, thereby enabling the driver to drive safely.

ADAPTER FOR SELECTING LAMP FUNCTION IN A TRUCK TRAILER
An adapter for use with components of a truck trailer. The adapter may include multiple input terminals corresponding with multiple terminals of a trailer component socket of a trailer, and multiple output terminals configured to electrically connect with corresponding input terminals of a trailer component. The adapter may also include an adapter circuit configured to electrically connect at least four of the input terminals with at least four of the multiple output terminals. The multiple output terminals may include at least two mode selection output terminals configured to provide a mode selection to the trailer component, and the trailer component optionally includes control logic configured to activate and deactivate the trailer component according to the mode selection.
SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR LIGHT-EMITTING DIODE (LED) FAILURE DETECTION
An LED lighting system, an automotive lighting system and a method of detecting failure in an LED lighting system are described herein. An LED lighting system includes an LED lighting circuit and a failure detection circuit. The LED lighting circuit includes a first string of a first plurality of LEDs electrically coupled in series with a first inductor and a second string of a second plurality of LEDs electrically coupled in series with a second inductor. The first and second strings each have an equal total forward voltage. The failure detection circuit is configured to detect a failure in the LED lighting circuit based on detection of a voltage difference between the first inductor and the second inductor.
LED lighting device with fault detection, and motor vehicle
An LED lighting device having an LED lamp series circuit with a first LED lamp and with a second LED lamp that is coupled to the first LED lamp through a lamp coupling point, an anode, a cathode, driver electronics for connection to the anode and the cathode for operation of the LED lamp series circuit, and a detection device for detecting a failure of the first LED lamp and the second LED lamp. The detection device, together with the first LED lamp and the second LED lamp, forms a first measuring bridge circuit. In addition, the invention relates to a motor vehicle with an LED lighting device according to the invention.
