VEHICLE BADGE
A badge is provided herein. The badge includes a housing having a front viewable portion. A first light source is disposed rearwardly of the viewable portion. A second light source is disposed adjacently to the first light source. A third light source disposed adjacently to the second light source. The first, the second, and the third light sources are configured to sequentially illuminate at offset intervals.
RADAR TRANSPARENT VEHICLE EMBLEM WITH MULTI-COLOR, MULTI-DIMENSIONAL A-SURFACE
Disclosed herein are vehicle emblems, automobiles with vehicle emblems, and methods of manufacturing vehicle emblems. A vehicle emblem for an automobile includes a bezel for mounting the emblem to the automobile's vehicle structure, such as the front grille, engine hood, or outer fascia panel. A rigid backing is seated within and attached to the bezel. The rigid backing includes one or more depressions and/or one or more ribs. A cover sheet lays against and is attached to the front-surface of the backing. The cover sheet includes a transparent layer or film with a multi-color print. The cover sheet includes one or more depressions and/or one or more ribs that are formed in the transparent layer. Each of the cover sheet's depressions is seated inside one of the rigid backing's depressions, while each of the rigid backing's ribs is seated inside one of the cover sheet's ribs.
VEHICLE BADGE
A badge is provided herein. The badge includes a substrate attached to a housing. The housing includes a viewable portion. A light source is operably coupled with an optic. A reflective member is further disposed within the badge. A first portion of an excitation light emitted from the light source is directed through the optic toward a first portion of the viewable portion. A second portion of the excitation light is reflected by the reflective member towards a second portion of the viewable portion.
VEHICLE EXTERIOR COMPONENT
A vehicle exterior component includes a decorative main body and a heater sheet that includes a heating wire and a sheet base made of a plastic. The heating wire is routed on the back surface of the sheet base. The heater sheet includes a heating main body that is arranged to be closer to a front side than the decorative main body, and an extending portion that is bent along the outer circumference of the decorative main body to be arranged at a position closer to a back side than a front surface of the decorative main body. The extending portion includes a bent portion along the outer circumference. The wire length of the heating wire in the bent portion is set to a length that allows the heating wire to change shape to adapt to expansions and contractions of the sheet base in the bent portion.
Lofty fibrous trim part
Trim part for a vehicle, comprising at least a fibrous layer comprising of thermoplastic bicomponent filaments or staple fibers, consisting of a first polymer forming the sheath of the bicomponent filament or staple fiber and a second polymer forming the core of the bicomponent filament or staple fiber and whereby the fibrous layer is consolidated by heating thereby melting the sheath polymer forming binding points between the filaments or staple fibers, characterized in that at least the sheath of the bicomponent filament or staple fiber comprises a shrinkage reducing additive being at least a polysiloxane, preferably a polydimethylsiloxane.
