A lane departure avoidance system includes: a recognition unit that recognizes a road edge of the road, and recognizes an outer line as a dividing line drawn on a road-edge side of a lane closest to the road edge; and an assist implementation unit that provides, within an area including the lane closest to the road edge and extending to the road edge, a forbidden position over which a vehicle is forbidden from going toward the road edge, and implements traveling assistance such that the vehicle does not go over the forbidden position. The system includes a shoulder width calculation unit that calculates, as a shoulder width, a width from the outer line to the road edge. The wider the shoulder width calculated by the shoulder width calculation unit is, the closer the forbidden position is set to the road edge by the assist implementation unit.

The purpose of the present invention is to prevent screen flicker when the screen of an on-board electronic mirror changes at a high speed, and to provide optimal information to a user. An on-board electronic minor (10), which is mounted on a vehicle, is provided with: a camera (100) for capturing images of the periphery of the vehicle; a video signal processing circuit (101) for processing the video captured by the camera (100); a monitor (105) for displaying the images processed by the video signal processing circuit (101); sensors (107-111) that are recounted on the vehicle and that detect an event during travel of the vehicle; and a video signal change circuit (103) and a video signal control circuit (112) that, on the basis of the detection results of the sensors (107-111), perform control for changing the video captured by the camera (100) to different video.

OBJECT DETECTION APPARATUS
20170294123 · 2017-10-12 ·

In an object detection apparatus, a sameness determination unit determines whether or not a first object and a second object are a same object, where the first object is an object detected by an electromagnetic wave sensor and the second object is an object detected by an image sensor. A position determination unit determines a position of the same object that is an object for which the first object and the second object are determined to be the same, where a Y-coordinate of or a distance to the same object in an XY-plane is determined employing a result of the detection of the first object and an X-coordinate or an azimuth of the same object with respect to a reference direction in the XY-plane is determined employing a result of the detection of the second object.

AUTOMATIC DRIVING SYSTEM
20170294120 · 2017-10-12 · ·

The present invention provides an automatic driving system capable of clearly identifying the factors responsible for causing an abnormality such as an accident or malfunction of a vehicle during automatic driving after the fact. The automatic driving system automatically selects, from each automatic driving function provided in the vehicle or each level of driving automation into which each automatic driving function is classified, an automatic driving function or a level of driving automation according to the circumstances surrounding the vehicle or the driving state of the vehicle, automatically performs a part of or the entirety of a vehicle driving operation to automatically drive the vehicle, and, remembers the time of automatic driving and information indicating the selected automatic driving function or level of driving automation at that time.

OBJECT DETECTION DEVICE
20170285168 · 2017-10-05 ·

An object detection device of the present disclosure includes three reception units for receiving reflected waves resulting from reflection of a transmission wave by an object within a detection range, and a determination unit for determining presence or absence of an object to be avoided based on outputs of the three reception units. The determination unit calculates first coordinates and second coordinates at which an object is estimated to be present, based on reception times from when a transmission wave is transmitted until reflected waves are received by the three reception units, and determines whether or not the object needs to be avoided, based on a distance between the first coordinates and the second coordinates.

METHOD FOR TESTING THE FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITY OF AN EMERGENCY CALL DEVICE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND MOTOR VEHICLE FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD
20220053085 · 2022-02-17 ·

A method for testing the functional capability of an emergency call device of a transportation vehicle. In an emergency mode, at least one specific audio signal is generated for a vehicle passenger by the emergency call device and emitted to the interior of the transportation vehicle. For testing, the emergency call device is put into a testing mode in which the at least one audio signal intended for the emergency is generated and wherein, in the testing mode, the generated audio signal passes, within the vehicle-internal emergency call device, through a signal path which is modified compared with the emergency mode.
