Seat system for a motor vehicle
A seat system for a motor vehicle has at least one vehicle seat, which can be adjusted between a first position in the forward direction of travel of the motor vehicle, and a second position counter to the forward direction of travel of the motor vehicle. A safety belt device is provided to secure an occupant seated in the vehicle seat in the first and second position. An optimized system in terms of weight, complexity and manufacturing costs, has the safety belt device include a respective belt system, held on corresponding holding points on the motor vehicle body-in-white side, for the first and for the second position of the vehicle seat.
Light Emitting Device
A light emitting device includes a light emitter, a holding portion that slidably holds the light emitter inside a slide rail for a vehicle, and a light transmissive cover that covers the light emitter. According to a configuration of the present disclosure, the cover of the light emitting device prevents a decrease in a communication performance of a signal transmission and reception device in which information on an electronic device is transmitted using an LED, as compared with a related art in which the communication performance decreases due to influence of scattering or shielding a light of the LED, the influence being caused by a grease which is heavily applied inside a slide rail of a vehicle and adheres to the LED.
Battery power management apparatus and method
An apparatus, including a first circuit containing an ignition system and first load which first load does not draw current from a first battery when the ignition system is not operating; a second circuit containing a second load which draws current from a second battery when the ignition system is not operating; a first switch capable of disconnecting the first battery from the first circuit; a second switch capable of connecting the first battery to the first circuit, wherein the first switch or second switch disconnects the ignition system from the first battery when the first switch or second switch is opened, wherein the first switch and second switch connect the first battery to the ignition system when the first switch and second switch are closed; and at least one alternator capable of recharging the first battery and second battery when the ignition system is operating.
Drive cycle controller
A drive cycle controller includes a drive cycle switching unit and an output state determination unit. The drive cycle switching unit switches a drive cycle of a microcomputer, which monitors an output of a device, from a first drive cycle to a second drive cycle that is shorter than the first drive cycle if the microcomputer detects a change in an output of the device at an activation timing in the first drive cycle. The output state determination unit determines an output state of the device if the microcomputer confirms that the output has remained changed at an activation timing in the second drive cycle.
Navigating a vehicle based on predictive aggression of other vehicle
Systems and methods are provided for navigating an autonomous vehicle using reinforcement learning techniques. In one implementation, a navigation system for a host vehicle may include at least one processing device programmed to: receive, from a camera, a plurality of images representative of an environment of the host vehicle; analyze the plurality of images to identify a navigational state associated with the host vehicle; provide the navigational state to a trained navigational system; receive, from the trained navigational system, a desired navigational action for execution by the host vehicle in response to the identified navigational state; analyze the desired navigational action relative to one or more predefined navigational constraints; determine an actual navigational action for the host vehicle, wherein the actual navigational action includes at least one modification of the desired navigational action determined based on the one or more predefined navigational constraints; and cause at least one adjustment of a navigational actuator of the host vehicle in response to the determined actual navigational action for the host vehicle.
Immobilization System for a Vehicle Seat
A vehicle seat includes a seat bottom, a seat back coupled to the seat bottom, and an immobilization system coupled to the seat bottom and the seat back to immobilize an occupant. The immobilization system includes at least one bottom strap kit operatively attached to the seat bottom and at least one back strap kit operatively attached to the seat back at predetermined locations with each of the at least one bottom strap kit and the at least one back strap kit including a strap having a stowed position hidden from view and a deployed position visible to secure an occupant in a seated position against the seat bottom and the seat back.
Housing for a belt buckle
A housing for a belt buckle includes two housing halves, which consist of plastic material and are connected to one another, and have a plurality of connecting pins, which likewise consist of plastic material and, for the purpose of connecting the housing halves, each have a first end arranged on a first of the housing halves and have a second end inserted in each case into a mount provided on the second of the housing halves. The housing halves are each covered on the outside by a soft body, wherein the soft bodies each consist of a softer plastic material than the housing halves and the connecting pins.

Prisoner transport system and method
A transport system and method for securely transporting subjects such as prisoners or persons that include a belt and a slideably engagable channel positioned across a part of a vehicle seat or bench for securing the belt and subject within the vehicle.
