A head and neck restraining system is disclosed herein. The system includes a helmet, a neck brace structure, and a tether system. The neck brace structure includes a neck extension that is attached to shoulder extensions. The tether system includes at least one ring structure that is configured to attach to the helmet and a single tether material that slides through the at least one ring. The single tether material is guided along the neck extension and attached to the shoulder extensions. The at least one ring structure is positioned between the neck and shoulder extensions along the single tether material and splits the load on the helmet to the neck extension and the shoulder extension along to the single tether material created by exerted forces.

Head Securing Assembly

A head securing assembly for supporting a user's head while sleeping and sitting upright in a seat includes a pair of clamps that is each positionable on a top side of a backrest of a seat in a vehicle. Each of the clamps is positioned on opposite sides of a headrest post with respect to each other. A support is coupled to each of the clamps and the support is directed forwardly from the backrest of the seat. A pair of cushions is each slidably coupled to the support and each of the cushions can be positioned on opposite sides of a user's head when the user sits in the seat. In this way the user's head is inhibited from tipping to the left or to the right when the user is sleeping.

Resource optimization in vehicles

This disclosure describes various embodiments for resource optimization in a vehicle. In an embodiment, a system for resource optimization in a vehicle is described. The system may comprise a memory; a processor coupled to the memory; and a resource optimization module. The resource optimization module may be configured to: monitor usage of local computing resources of the vehicle, the local computing resources comprising the processor and available bandwidth of a transmission medium; determine an availability of the local computing resources; evaluate data captured by one or more sensors of the vehicle; and determine whether to process the data locally or remotely based, at least in part, on the availability of the local computing resources and the data captured by the one or more sensors.

RETENTION DEVICE FOR VEHICLE SEAT

A seating assembly is attached to the floor and includes a seat that is rotationally operable relative to a seatback. A retention device is attached to the seat. When the seat is pivoted upright to a stadium position, the retention device is selectively deployable from a stored position to a cargo storage position that defines an enclosure at least partially defined by the seat and the floor.

Closure device

A closure device for closing and locking a restraint system, such as a restraint system for an amusement vehicle, includes a blocking device, and a locking device having a first connecting member and a second connecting member. The locking device and the blocking device interact in such a way that, in at least a first position of the locking device relative to the blocking device, the first connecting member is releasable coupled to the second connecting member. Furthermore, in at least a second position of the locking device relative to the blocking device, the blocking device prevents release of the first connecting member from the second connecting member. In some examples, the second position includes the locking device being inserted at least partially into the blocking device.

Device for opening and closing opening/closing body

When it is determined that there is an individual abnormality, in which an individual drive section is in an abnormal state, while the opening/closing body is being moved by the drive sections or the opening/closing body is stopped in an open state, the opening/closing body operation device performs a restriction control on the drive section with the individual abnormality, the restriction control restricting the movement of the opening/closing body in the closing direction. The opening/closing body operation device makes a comparison of the driving state between the drive section subjected to restriction control and another drive section, and when it is determined that the drive sections are normal with respect to each other, the opening/closing body operation device deems the opening/closing body to be in a normal state and disengages the restriction control.
