Device for assisting safe exit from vehicle, system having the same, and method thereof
The present disclosure relates to a device for assisting a safe exit from a vehicle, a system having the same, and a method thereof. The device for assisting a safe exit from a vehicle may include a processor for determining a surrounding situation around the vehicle and an intent of the passenger to exit from the vehicle, and performing a step-by-step notification based on the determination, and storage for receiving, from the processor, and storing information about the surrounding situation and a determination result of the intent of the passenger to exit from the vehicle.
Kickdown switch for acceleration pedal and method of controlling misoperation of acceleration pedal using the same
A kickdown switch for an accelerator pedal informs a driver of a misoperation state by using a kickdown switch provided in the accelerator pedal when the driver misoperates the accelerator pedal rather than operating a brake pedal while braking is required. Accordingly, the driver can definitely recognize the misoperation state of the accelerator pedal and rapidly stop misoperation of the accelerator pedal and sudden acceleration of the vehicle, whereby occurrence of accidents can be prevented.
Supplemental restraint harness
According to the present invention there is provided a supplemental restraint harness for cooperating with a seat belt of a vehicle, the supplemental restraint harness comprising, an upper portion which is configured to be worn on the torso of a wearer, wherein the upper portion comprises a first strap which, when the harness is worn, extends along a front of the wearer's torso, over a first shoulder of the wearer, and along a back of the wearer's torso, and a second strap which, when the harness is worn, extends along a front of the wearer's torso, over a second shoulder of the wearer, and along a back of the wearer's torso; and a lower portion, comprising a third strap which can be arranged to form a first loop which can receive a first leg of the wearer, and a fourth strap which can be arranged to form a second loop which can receive a second leg of the wearer; and wherein the upper position and lower portion are connected to one another; and wherein the harness further comprises at least one connector which is suitable for connecting to a seat belt of a vehicle. There is further provided a seat belt assembly which comprises said supplemental restraint harness.
Apparatus and method for controlling steering of vehicle
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and a method for controlling steering of a vehicle and, more particularly, for steering independently each of the vehicle wheels by using respective steering controller based on the target steering angle information for each vehicle wheel, determining the normal steering controller among a plurality of the steering controllers, re-determining the target steering angle information of the vehicle wheel connected to the normal steering controller by using a driving information of the vehicle, and steering the vehicle wheels based on the re-determined target steering angle information.
Automatic bed cover door systems for a truck
A truck is provided that includes a bed section located rear of a cab section. The bed section is bounded on each side by opposing first and second upward-extending sidewalls, respectively. The truck also includes a truck bed cover that sits over the bed section on at least the first and second upward-extending sidewalls, and includes a door portion to create selective accessibility to the bed section of the pickup truck. The door portion is movable with respect to the first and second upward-extending sidewalls between open and closed positions via an automatic bed cover drive assembly that moves the door portion between open and closed positions according to a plurality of velocities within a predetermined variance.
Head securing assembly
A head securing assembly for supporting a user's head while sleeping and sitting upright in a seat includes a pair of clamps that is each positionable on a top side of a backrest of a seat in a vehicle. Each of the clamps is positioned on opposite sides of a headrest post with respect to each other. A support is coupled to each of the clamps and the support is directed forwardly from the backrest of the seat. A pair of cushions is each slidably coupled to the support and each of the cushions can be positioned on opposite sides of a user's head when the user sits in the seat. In this way the user's head is inhibited from tipping to the left or to the right when the user is sleeping.
Head stabilizer
The head stabilizer includes a suspender having a pair of bracket connectors that couple to a vehicle seat and a downwardly extending vertical positioning rod having a size and shape for select slide-on reception of a lateral support unit. The lateral support unit may be secured in a desired vertical position along the rod through locking engagement with one or more notches therein. The lateral support unit includes a pair of head pads that can be drawn in to provide side-to-side support for the user's head and a headband may couple between the pair of head pads and across the forehead to provide pitch support for the head.
Vehicle drowning sensing system
Methods, systems, and apparatus for automatically responding to at least partial submersion of a vehicle in water. The system includes a sensor configured to detect sensor data indicating whether the vehicle is at least partially submerged in water. The system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) connected to the sensor. The ECU is configured to determine that the vehicle is at least partially submerged in water based on the sensor data. The ECU is also configured to adjust at least one feature of the vehicle in response to the determination that the vehicle is at least partially submerged in water.
Method and apparatus for active heat exchanger
The present application generally relates to a method and apparatus for providing an active heat exchanger with dynamic positioning to improve vehicle aerodynamics. More specifically, aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems, methods and devices for a vehicle fascia having multiple airflow openings, at least one of having an active shutter system and wherein the active heat exchanger is positioned to respond to closing of one or more of the airflow openings when active aerodynamics are deployed.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING WHETHER A SEATBELT IS BEING WORN
A device (10) for detecting a belted condition for a seat belt system (12) of a motor vehicle (14) is presented. The device (10) comprises at least one transceiver (24) for electromagnetic waves as well as a transponder (28) and a controller (30). The first transceiver (24) is disposed, when viewed in the vehicle longitudinal direction (L), in front of or behind the sitting position of a vehicle occupant (16) and is connected to the controller (30) so as to transmit signals. The transponder (28) is arranged on webbing of the seat belt system (12) associated with the vehicle seat (19) and is configured to receive and automatically respond to scanning signals of the transceiver (24). The controller (30) is configured to detect, based on output signals of the first transceiver (24), whether the vehicle occupant (16) has correctly fastened the seat belt (18). Furthermore, a method for detecting a belted condition is suggested.
