Interactive skin for wearable
A wearable may be provided with or configured to provide interactive skin. The interactive skin may be configured for accepting touch input from a user. The interactive skin may include one or more flexible layers and may include or be mounted under a transparent display cover layer such as a layer of clear glass or plastic. Interactive skin may include a touch-sensitive layer that allows a user to provide touch input to the wearable. Display pixels on interactive skin may be used to display visual information to the user. The interactive skin may be configured for detecting a condition of at least one wearable and generating an output function in response to the detected condition.
VEHICLE-MOUNTED CAMERA DEVICE AND METHOD OF GENERATING A DISPLAY IMAGE
A vehicle-mounted camera device mounted on a vehicle includes a main core that generates a guide line image including a guide line in accordance with the steering angle of the vehicle, a sub core that superposes a guide line image on a reference image based on the capturing result from a camera mounted on the vehicle, thereby to output the resulting reference image to a display device as a display image, and a memory that holds a plurality of guide line images generated in the main core with respect to a plurality of steering angle. The sub core reads from the memory, in accordance with steering angle information indicating the current steering angle of the vehicle, one of the plurality of guide line images to generate a display image using the read guide line image.
AUTHORIZED REMOTE CONTROL
Some embodiments provide a vehicle navigation system which can navigate a vehicle through an environment based on driving commands received from a remote control system based on manual operator interaction with an interface of the remote control system. Remote driving control can be engaged based on determination, via processing vehicle sensor data, of a health emergency associated with one or more occupants of the vehicle, and the remote control system can generate remote driving commands which cause the vehicle to be navigated to a particular location without requiring the occupant associated with the health emergency to manually navigate the vehicle. The remote control system can monitor the occupant via communicated vehicle sensor data and can control remote control devices included in the vehicle to provide external indication that the vehicle is being navigated according to remote driving control.
PARKING ASSIST DEVICE AND PARKING ASSIST METHOD
A parking assist device including a processor is disclosed. The processor superimposes a first parking candidate frame and a second parking candidate frame onto an image around a vehicle when a first obstacle is present at one end of a parking space and a second obstacle is present at another end of the parking space. The first parking candidate frame is parallel with a first obstacle frame indicating a position of the first obstacle. The second parking candidate frame is parallel with a second obstacle frame indicating a position of the second obstacle. The processor displays, on a display device, the first/second parking candidate frames in different display modes. The processor displays, on the display device and in a predetermined color, either one of a first region surrounded by the first parking candidate frame and a second region surrounded by the second parking candidate frame.
Towing assist device for notifying driver of backup conditions
A towing assistance device includes an acquirer, a determiner, and a notifier. The acquirer acquires a coupling angle between a towing vehicle and a towed vehicle. The determiner determines whether the towed vehicle is movable backward in a coupling posture with the coupling angle maintained, when the towing vehicle is moved backward at a current steering angle. The notifier issues information on a steering angle at which the towed vehicle is movable backward in the coupling posture, among selectable steering angles of the towing vehicle.
PARKING ASSIST DEVICE
A parking assist device capable of parking assistance that ensures high accuracy of a parking location is provided. A parking assist device that assists in performing an operation of parking a vehicle includes a parking-allowing location calculation unit that before the vehicle stops at a parking-allowing location, calculates and updates the parking-allowing location a plurality of times, and a parking route calculation unit that calculates a parking route. The parking route calculation unit sets a minimum turning radius for calculating the parking route, based on the amount of a shift between the parking-allowing location not updated and the parking-allowing location having been updated, and calculates the parking route, using the minimum turning radius. The minimum turning radius is set larger than the minimum value of a turning radius unique to the vehicle.
Parking Assist Method and Parking Assist Apparatus
A parking assist method and apparatus shorten the time required for parking a vehicle along a route requiring cutting of the wheel. The method includes detecting a parking space for parking a subject vehicle, setting a position of turning the steering wheel, generating a parking route from a current position of the subject vehicle to the parking space via the position of turning the steering wheel, and controlling the subject vehicle so as to autonomously travel along the parking route. When generating the parking route, the method determines a turning direction to which the subject vehicle turns in the route, and generates a route from the current position of the subject vehicle to the position of turning the steering wheel such that the steering direction corresponds to the turning direction at the time when the subject vehicle is stopped at the position of turning the steering wheel.
Parking assistance apparatus
A parking assistance apparatus is provided that is capable of improving convenience for a driver by determining that parking is possible in a case where the local vehicle will protrude from a parking frame but safety is ensured around a prescribed position that corresponds to the parking frame. The presence/absence of an obstacle around a prescribed position that corresponds to a parking frame is also determined for a parking frame from which the local vehicle will protrude. In a case where safety is ensured around the prescribed position that corresponds to the parking frame, it is determined that parking is possible, and the location of the parking frame is presented to a driver.
