The disclosure relates to a conveyor for moving four-wheel vehicles. The conveyor includes a chassis having stowable extensions movable between a position in which the extensions make it possible to move the chassis under the vehicle and a position in which the extensions make contact with the treads of the wheels. The chassis is telescopic and includes two segments that each have a pair of arms. At least one of the arm pairs is hinged so as to enable movement between a position perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the chassis with an extension at least equal to the track width of the vehicle and a folded-up position that is to occupy a width less than the distance between the inner flanks of the wheels of the vehicle. The segments are movable between a position where the arms are not in contact with the wheels and a position where each arm makes contact with the tread of one of the wheels so as to raise or lower the vehicle.

TRACTION DEVICE AND TRACTION METHOD

The disclosure relates to a traction device and a traction method. The traction device includes: a support chassis; a swing arm, one end of the swing arm is rotatably connected to the support chassis by a rotating shaft such that the swing arm can be switched in a retracted state and a deployed state, wherein the swing arm in the deployed state is adapted to drive the wheel of the vehicle to rotate and tow the vehicle; a driving mechanism, connected to the swing arm, wherein the driving mechanism is capable of driving the swing arm to horizontally rotate around the rotating shaft to switch the swing arm between the retracted state and the deployed state; and a rolling assembly, disposed on a side of the support chassis and being capable of preventing the wheel from contacting with the side of the support chassis when the vehicle is towed.

METHOD FOR LOADING A FOUR-WHEELED VEHICLE AND ASSOCIATED TRANSPORT CONVEYOR

A method for loading a four-wheeled vehicle using a transporter comprising wedging arms that are arranged so as to be positioned on either side of the tread of a wheel of the vehicle to be loaded, and wheel clamping detection means, the method comprising the following steps: a step of moving the transporter until a wedging arm comes into contact with the tread of a tire, a step of moving the transporter along the longitudinal axis of the transporter for a predetermined distance or until a predetermined force is detected, a step of stopping the transporter from moving and generating a signal representative of the mobility state of the vehicle: moving or stationary.

FLAT TIRE BUDDY
20240083395 · 2024-03-14 ·

Flat Tire Buddy is comprised of a steel cradle provided with a pair of rear steel wheels supported on a rear axle and a central swiveling two front steel wheels. The cradle has a bottom wall and opposed spaced parallel side walls to receive a vehicle wheel therein. A pivotal rear ramp is secured to the rear axle and has a first inclined ramp section to permit the vehicle wheel to enter the cradle. The rear ramp also has a second ramp section which is actuable by the load of the vehicle wheel to cause the first plate section to pivot upward to an arresting position. The rear ramp is constructed such that when in the loading position, it causes the rear wheel to be wedged off the ground support surface. The rear ramp is provided to prevent displacement to Flat Tire Buddy when a vehicle wheel is driven in or out of the cradle over the pivotal rear ramp. At the rear of Flat Tire Buddy there are two stopper levers which stop Flat Tire Buddy from moving forward when mounting onto the cradle. In the front of Flat Tire Buddy, there are an additional two stopper levers which function in the same manner, stopping Flat Tire Buddy from moving forward when mounting with a tire onto the cradle. Dismounting with the tire from the cradle serves the same purpose for all four stopper levers for further security. All four stopper levers are disengaged before driving away with the flat tire wheel sitting in the cradle of Flat Tire Buddy. For additional safety there are straps which are tied to the tire before driving with Flat Tire Buddy.
