A parking brake fail safety control system and method for a vehicle having an electric-axle, may enable safe parking braking on a level ground, a slope, etc. By controlling the torque from a first motor configured for a rear wheel-first electric-axle and the torque from a second motor configured for a rear wheel-second electric-axle to have the same magnitude in opposite directions and by increasing/decreasing the torque from the first motor and the torque from the second motor, depending on a change of wheel speed when a parking brake fails.

VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM

A control device includes an additional deceleration calculation unit that calculates an additional deceleration (G×add) to be applied to the vehicle based on the steering angle, a target control amount calculation unit that calculates the control amount for the vehicle behavior changing device based on the additional deceleration, a rough road level calculation unit that calculates a rough road level of a road based on a wheel speed, and a control amount correction unit that corrects the control amount based on the rough road level, the rough road level calculation unit being configured to correct the wheel speed so as to remove a change thereof caused by the cornering maneuver of the vehicle, and to calculate the rough road level by using the corrected wheel speed.

PREDICTIVE DRIVER ALERTNESS ASSESSMENT

In an exemplary embodiment, a system is provided that includes one or more first sensors, one or more second sensors, and a processor disposed onboard a vehicle. The first sensors are configured to at least facilitate obtaining first sensor data with regard to an external environment outside the vehicle. The second sensors are configured to at least facilitate obtaining second sensor data with regard to one or more eyes of a driver of the vehicle. The processor is configured to at least facilitate: determining a predicted gaze angle of the one or more eyes of the driver based on the external environment outside the vehicle, using the first sensor data; determining a measured gaze angle of the one or more eyes of the driver, using the second sensor data, and controlling one or more vehicle actions based on a comparison of the predicted and measured gaze angles.

Vehicle control device

The present invention provides a vehicle control device that can reduce the delay in the deceleration response of a vehicle to a deceleration command. The present invention modifies the distribution ratio of brake fluid pressure between front brakes and rear brakes on the basis of lateral motion information, vehicle information, and a collision risk or a traveling scene obtained from information pertaining to the external surroundings. The brake fluid pressure is distributed to only one of the front brakes or the rear brakes.

A braking control device includes an actuator, a controller, a steering angle sensor, and a yaw rate sensor. The controller calculates a reference turning amount, an actual turning amount, an understeer index, sets to a non-adjustment region in which the increase slope is not decreased when the understeer index is smaller than or equal to a first threshold value, sets to an adjustment region in which the increase slope is decreased when the understeer index is greater than or equal to a second threshold value greater than the first threshold value, and sets to a transition region in which the increase slope is decreased when the understeer index is transitioned from the non-adjustment region and the increase slope is not decreased when the understeer index is transitioned from the adjustment region when the understeer index is greater than the first threshold value and smaller than the second threshold value.

BRAKE ASSIST DURING VEHICLE ONE PEDAL DRIVE

A vehicle includes friction brakes, an electronic park brake system, and controllers. The controllers, responsive to the vehicle coming to a stop, and the vehicle being on plug, a driver door of the vehicle being open, or a driver seatbelt being unbuckled, issue a standstill friction brake request for the friction brakes and an electronic park brake request for the electronic park brake system. The controllers also, responsive to engagement of the electronic park brake system, discontinue the issue of the standstill friction brake request.
