Path planning for autonomous moving devices
The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for path planning for autonomous moving devices. Aspects of the invention include planning a path for a mobile robot to move autonomously in an environment that includes other static and moving obstacles, such as, for example, other mobile devices and pedestrians, without reference to a prior map of the environment. A planned path for a mobile robot can be determined, adjusted, and adapted using diffusion maps to avoid collisions while making progress towards a global destination. Path planning can include using transition probabilities between grid points to find a feasible path through parts of the environment to make progress towards the global destination. In one aspect, diffusion maps are used in combination with a receding horizon approach, including computing diffusion maps at specified time intervals.

Safety-compliant multiple occupancy of a channel in intelligent transportation systems
An efficient implementation of intelligent transportation systems is provided. A control unit for a vehicle is designed to receive and/or to transmit a safety-relevant vehicle cooperation message via a physical channel of a communication unit of the vehicle. The control unit is designed to determine an indication of the vehicle having a reduced risk of conflict with another road user in a first period of time. The control unit is designed to receive and/or to transmit a non-safety-relevant vehicle cooperation message via the physical channel of the communication unit of the vehicle in the first period of time.

Control system for drive unit
A control system for a drive unit configured to control driving force and braking force integrally is provided. The control system comprises: a sensor that detects vehicle conditions and an operation amount of an accelerator pedal etc.; a brake device that is contacted to an input element of a differential unit or a rotary member attached to the drive motor connected to the differential unit; and a controller. The controller is configured to calculate: a target travelling condition based on the vehicle condition and the operation amount detected by the sensor; target drive torques or target braking torques to be applied to the right wheel and left wheel based on the target travelling condition; output torques of a drive motor and a differential motor based on the target driving torques; and a braking force to be established by the brake device and an output torque of the differential motor based on the target braking torques.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM CONTROL
Methods and systems are providing for improving engine coolant level estimation to reduce engine overheating. The level of fluid in a coolant overflow reservoir is inferred based on the fluid level in a hollow vertical standpipe fluidically coupled to the reservoir at top and bottom locations, while the fluid level in the standpipe is estimated based on echo times of an ultrasonic signal transmitted by a sensor positioned in a recess at the bottom of the vertical standpipe. Engine power is limited differently based on distinct coolant level states determined based on a change in level of coolant in the reservoir over a duration.

Method of preventing drive-by hacking, and apparatus and system therefor
The present disclosure relates to a method of preventing drive-by hacking, and an apparatus and a system therefor. A method of preventing drive-by hacking in a vehicle system linked with a vehicle head unit through a communication network in a vehicle may include receiving a predetermined external terminal access notification message reporting access by an external terminal from the vehicle head unit, verifying whether fixed data recorded in an application memory is consistent with fixed data recorded in a backup memory, and transmitting a predetermined hacking detection message to the vehicle head unit based on a result of verification. Therefore, the present disclosure has an advantage of strengthening security of a vehicle when an external terminal is linked with a vehicle head unit.
