The human-powered vehicle control device includes a first detector and an electronic controller. The first detector is configured to detect information related to a driving force of the wheel of the human-powered vehicle on a road surface. The electronic controller is configured to change an operation state of a suspension device of the human-powered vehicle in response to a detection result of the first detector.

ELECTRIFIED MILITARY VEHICLE

An energy storage system for a military vehicle includes a lower support, a battery supported on the lower support, a bracket coupled to the battery, and an upper isolator mount coupled between the bracket and a wall. The upper isolator mount is configured to provide front-to-back vibration isolation of the battery relative to the wall.

Driving assistance system and driving assistance method for a vehicle

A driving assistance system for a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, includes a user interface module which is set up for interaction with a driver The user interface module is further set up to: output at least two questions in relation to a driving assistance function to the driver sequentially; and receive a user input of the driver for answering the at least two questions. A control module is set up to activate and/or operate the driving assistance function based on a composition of incorrectly answered and correctly answered questions from the at least two questions, wherein the driving assistance function is activated only when a minimum number of questions and/or a specific subgroup of the at least two questions have been answered correctly at least in part.

Method for distributed data analysis
11572077 · 2023-02-07 · ·

The present disclosure relates to techniques to implement a vehicle action using a distributed model distributed across the vehicle and a remote node. A local portion of the distributed model at the vehicle may generate a local output model based on vehicle event data collected at the vehicle. The local output model may be sent from the vehicle at a first location to the remote node at a second location. The remote node may generate a remote output model based on the local output model using the remote portion of the distributed model. The vehicle action may be determined based on inspecting a reconstructed version of the vehicle event data included in the remote output model. The determined vehicle action may be implemented at the vehicle. The distributed model may facilitate the transmission of vehicle event data across multiple locations while securing the transmission of personally-identifiable information.

A control system for a human-powered vehicle includes a suspension device, at least one detector, an electronic controller. The suspension device includes a first suspension and a second suspension. The at least one detector is configured to detect information related to at least two conditions of the human-powered vehicle. The conditions include an operating state of the suspension device, a power input to the human-powered vehicle, a torque of a power transmission component, and a rotating state of the power transmission component. The electronic controller is configured to selectively control the suspension device between a first operating state and a second operating state in accordance with a detection result obtained by the at least one detector.

System and method for detecting and mitigating an unsafe condition in a vehicle

A system for detecting and mitigating an unsafe condition in a vehicle includes an image sensor configured to generate and output image data of one or more seats in a cabin of the vehicle and a processing system operably connected to the image sensor and including at least one processor. The processing system is configured to receive the image data from the image sensor, process the image data to determine a location of at least one passenger in the cabin, detect that the at least one passenger is located outside of the one or more seats based on the determined location of the at least one passenger in the cabin, and operate at least one component of the vehicle in a predefined manner in response to detecting that the at least one passenger is located outside of the one or more seats.

Systems and methods for accessory load adjustment to reduce engine noise

Systems and methods are provided for controlling a hybrid powertrain of a hybrid vehicle, and may include: determining a value of a drive request for a combustion engine of the hybrid vehicle; determining electrical loading on batteries of the hybrid vehicle; adjusting operation of an accessory of the hybrid vehicle to reduce the electrical load of that accessory on the batteries of the hybrid vehicle when the drive request value is above a determined drive request threshold amount and the electrical loading on batteries of the hybrid vehicle is above a power loading threshold; and directing at least some of the power saved by adjusting operation of the accessory from the batteries of the hybrid vehicle to a drive motor of the hybrid vehicle to provide motive force for the vehicle.

Method and system for vehicle stop/start control

Methods and systems are presented for improving performance of a vehicle operating in a cruise control mode where a controller adjusts torque output from a vehicle to maintain vehicle speed within a desired range. The methods and systems include adapting a vehicle dynamics model and a vehicle fuel consumption map that provide input to nonlinear model predictive controller.

ELECTRIFIED MILITARY VEHICLE

A military vehicle including an engine coupled to the chassis for providing mechanical power to the military vehicle, a motor/generator coupled to the engine, and an energy storage system including a battery electrically coupled to the motor/generator. The military vehicle is operable in a silent mobility mode with the engine inactive and the energy storage system providing power to the motor/generator to operate the military vehicle. The motor/generator and the battery are sized such that electrical power generation through engine drive of the motor/generator is greater than the power depletion through operation of the military vehicle in the silent mobility mode. The motor/generator can charge the energy storage system while the military vehicle is driving or stationary.
