The changing unit changes, in accordance with the change in the upper limit travel speed of the travel state which is currently selected, an upper limit travel speed of a travel state which is not currently selected among the plurality of travel states.

The path plan setter sets a path plan in automatic driving control to cause the own vehicle to travel automatically. The determines a need for changing the path plan and the automatic driving control based on the cloud information and controls traveling behavior of the own vehicle according to the need for a change based on the cloud information and the own vehicle traveling information.

A system for generating a costmap for use in planning a path through an environment, the system including one or more suitably programmed processing devices configured to obtain a map of the environment, acquire traversal data indicative of an ability to traverse parts of the environment, for each part of the environment, calculate a traversal indicator indicative of the ability to traverse the part, the traversal indicator being calculated in a colour space, and colourise the map using the traversal indicators to thereby generate a colourised costmap indicative of an ability to traverse the environment, the colourised costmap allowing path planning to be performed.

A method for the recognition and visual display of system uncertainty in the representation of augmented image contents in heads-up displays which provides that AR image contents are adapted through a change of representation so that the inaccuracies of representation that are present are not perceived as errors by the observer. A characteristic value is determined that quantifies the system uncertainty in the representation of the AR image contents. An adaptation of the representation takes place on the heads-up display depending on this characteristic value. Also disclosed is a device by which the method is carried out.
Redundant System
A redundant system is mounted on a vehicle configured to autonomously travel. The redundant system at least includes a first power supply system and a second power supply system different from the first power supply system. The redundant system includes: an operation control main control device that performs a process to cause the vehicle to autonomously travel; and an operation control sub control device used instead of the operation control main control device when abnormality regarding the operation control main control device is detected. The operation control main control device is connected to the first power supply system and is not connected to the second power supply system. The operation control sub control device is connected to the second power supply system and is not connected to the first power supply system.

A control unit for a vehicle is configured to detect a signalling installation ahead, wherein the signalling installation has at least one signal transmitter. The method includes: receiving environment information sent by an autonomous driving vehicle, the environment information including vehicle exterior environment information; determining whether the autonomous driving vehicle is in an abnormal operation status, based on the vehicle exterior environment information and operation information of an operation executed by the autonomous driving vehicle; and sending a braking control instruction and a data acquisition instruction to the autonomous driving vehicle, in response to determining that the autonomous driving vehicle is in the abnormal operation status, the braking control instruction being used for controlling braking of the autonomous driving vehicle, and the data acquisition instruction being used for acquiring data of a driving recorder in the autonomous driving vehicle.
