A sliding window assembly for a vehicle includes a window frame having a top rail portion coupled to a bottom rail portion by side rail portions. The top rail portion has a shorter length than the bottom rail portion. A fixed window is attached to the window. A sliding window is mounted in a sliding sash. The sliding sash is moveable relative to the fixed window. The sliding sash includes a top sash portion coupled to a bottom sash portion by side sash portions. The top sash portion has a shorter length than the bottom sash portion. A removable track assembly is attached to the top rail portion. At least one bearing is attached to the top sash portion of the sliding window sash. The at least one bearing is slidingly engaged with the removable track supporting the sliding sash over an entire travel range between open and closed positions preventing tilting of the sliding sash relative to the window frame.

The edge section of the fifth glass cloth is affixed to the rear surface of the base plate using an adhesive, and the first through fourth glass cloths are fastened using staples. In other words, the first glass cloth and the base plate are fixed using an adhesive, and this adhesive is prevented from melting by the five sheets of the first through fifth glass cloths. The adhesive that fixes the edge section of the fifth glass cloth at the other surface of the base plate is prevented from melting by the five sheets of the first through fifth glass cloths and the base plate.

Provided is a sound absorbing panel that can satisfy the heat resistance properties and melting/dripping resistance properties required inside of a railway vehicle. A pier sound absorbing panel includes five sheets of first through fifth glass cloths that are stacked on an aluminum base plate. A passenger transport vehicle having an air-conditioning system is controlled by an air-conditioning system controller connected to at least one temperature sensor for a vehicle passenger compartment, and includes an air-conditioning device and a plurality of air ducts supplying conditioned inlet air provided by the air-conditioning device to the passenger compartment and removing air from the passenger compartment. The air-conditioning system controller controls the air-conditioning device to regulate the temperature in the passenger compartment, such that the air-conditioning device delivers inlet air temperature-adjusted to set a predefined target temperature in the passenger compartment. A plurality of window panes that can be darkened have a degree of darkening which can be adjusted electrically. The air-conditioning system controller controls the degree of darkening of the window panes to set the predefined target temperature in the passenger compartment.
