LED lighting system for a railway vehicle
There is described a lighting system for vehicles comprising light emitting diodes mounted on printed circuit boards (PCBs). Auxiliary components such as speakers are mounted on some of the PCBs lighting modules which are connected in an end-to-end relationship and which form light rows of the lighting system. Electrical traces for the auxiliary components form part of the PCBs. This results in a substantial reduction in or elimination of wiring. Connectors at each end of a PCB are compatible with the connectors on a neighboring PCB and are optionally connectable with a respective corresponding connector assembly of another lighting module in a direction substantially normal to the planar mounting surface of the PCB or in a direction substantially parallel to the planar mounting surface.

SLEEPING BERTH STRUCTURE FOR A VEHICLE SLEEPING COMPARTMENT
The sleeping berth structure for a vehicle sleeping compartment includes a vertical post, a partition wall, extending from the vertical post, a first berth, located on a first side of the partition wall, the first berth including a frame and a cushion, and a first horizontal beam, located on the first side of the partition wall and extending from the vertical post perpendicular to the partition wall to support an extremity of the first berth. To reduce the bulk of the berth structure, improve its aesthetics and reduce the risk of injury of a user the sleeping berth structure, the frame of the first berth includes a hollow extruded beam, and the first horizontal beam is received inside the hollow extruded beam of the frame of the first berth.

SEAT THAT CAN BE CONVERTED INTO A SLEEPING-BERTH
A block of two seats side by side which can be converted individually between a chair configuration and a horizontal flat bed configuration, the longitudinal axes of two of the seats in the bed configuration converging towards a point situated in front of the seats at a distance such that the foot areas in front of the seats in the bed configuration are superposed. Bed planes of the two seats of the block are vertically offset and extended by rest surfaces of the foot areas arranged in a column arranged between the seat backs of the seats of a block situated in front, making it possible to reduce the seat pitch while not affecting comfort, and allowing an improved cabin layout for transporting passengers.
