RELAY VALVE MODULE OF A PNEUMATIC BRAKE SYSTEM
A relay valve module of a pneumatic brake system for a vehicle includes a relay valve and an actuating unit. A valve body of the relay valve defines therein an air supply chamber in fluid communication with a supply air reservoir, and a delivery chamber in fluid communication with brake cylinders. A valve seat is disposed between the air supply and delivery chambers; and is opened and closed by movement of a valve member that is actuated by a piston slidable relative to the valve body. The actuating unit includes a stem assembly moved by a pressure to press the piston so as to move the valve member, and an actuating assembly electrically connected with an electronic control unit of the vehicle to receive a brake signal therefrom to provide the pressure to the stem assembly.
Brake line anchor
Generally described, aspects of the disclosed subject matter are directed to an apparatus for anchoring a line, such as a line anchor suitable for use with the brake line of a vehicle. The brake line anchor includes a line coupling member to secure the brake line to the brake line anchor, and a mounting member for mounting the brake line anchor to the vehicle. The brake line anchor has a deflection control portion positioned intermediately along the length. The deflection control portion has a necked-down cross-sectional area such that the brake line anchor is configured to provide independent selection of the stiffness in each direction of bending and in axial compression/extension of the line coupling member such that the brake line anchor can be tailored to the mounting location and system in which the brake line anchor is utilized.
Cooling device, and steering bogie and vehicle provided with same
A cooling device provided with cooling fins which: is provided in a wheel of a running wheel which integrally rotates with a axle shaft and has a brake device positioned in the interior thereof; and produces, by rotating in both the forward and reverse directions of the wheel, airflow which flows through the brake device via ventilation holes passing from the inside to the outside of the wheel. Therein, the cooling fins produce an airflow which flows through a plurality of decorative holes serving as the ventilation holes and formed in the wheel along the circumference centered around the rotational axis of the axle shaft.

Braking systems for railway cars
Braking systems for railway cars are provided. A braking system defines a longitudinal axis, and includes a first brake assembly, a second brake assembly, and an actuator operable to generate a linear force, the actuator disposed proximate the second brake assembly. The braking system further includes a movable rod and a fixed rod extending between the first brake assembly and the second brake assembly. In some embodiments, the braking system further includes a dead lever and a slack adjuster disposed proximate the first brake assembly, the slack adjuster connected to the first brake assembly and the dead lever and operable to adjust a distance along the longitudinal axis between a reference point of the first brake assembly and a pivot point of the dead lever.

Shaped friction device
A friction device for a vehicle having a flanged wheel (with a wheel flange and wheel tread) includes a backing plate and a friction structure. The backing plate may interface with a brake actuator of the vehicle. The friction structure is attached to the backing plate and comprises a friction material; the friction structure has a longitudinal flange side, a longitudinal rim side, and two opposing ends, and defines a brake surface for engaging the flanged wheel for braking. The friction structure includes an extended volume portion of the friction material on the longitudinal flange side, which defines a flange contact region of the brake surface. The flange contact region may at least partially engage the flange and to align the friction device with the wheel tread, e.g., the flange contact region may be complementary in shape to at least part of the flange.
