Disclosed is an eddy-current rail brake which includes: a magnet array which includes a plurality of permanent magnets arranged in one row so as to face toward a rail in a braking state; a holding member which holds the magnet array, the holding member being supported so as to be rotatable together with the magnet array; a cylindrical member which covers the magnet array, which is rotatable; and a driving device coupled to an end portion of the holding member. The magnet array is switchable between the braking state and a non-braking state by rotating the magnet array.

The base plate includes a slot configured for receiving a portion of the anchor rod assembly. The slot can include a pocket for receiving and retaining the portion of the assembly. The assembly can be secured to the movable structure and can include a handle component, an extension component and an anchor rod having a threaded member engaged with the extension component and handle component so that the anchor rod can be lifted and lowered relative to the extension component. The system can be operated by moving the structure so that the anchor assembly engages the slot of the base plate and enters the pocket. The anchor rod is then retracted within the pocket, thereby securing the structure.

An anchoring system for a movable structure is provided. The anchoring system can include a base plate and an anchor rod assembly. The base plate includes a slot configured for receiving a portion of the anchor rod assembly. The slot can include a pocket for receiving and retaining the portion of the assembly. The assembly can be secured to the movable structure and can include a handle component, an extension component and an anchor rod having a threaded member engaged with the extension component and handle component so that the anchor rod can be lifted and lowered relative to the extension component. The system can be operated by moving the structure so that the anchor assembly engages the slot of the base plate and enters the pocket. The anchor rod is then retracted within the pocket, thereby securing the structure.

A bogie for a high-speed railway vehicle includes a wheel set, an axle box, a primary spring suspension device, a frame, a secondary spring suspension device and a foundation braking device. A wheel of the wheel set has an LMA wheel tread. The foundation braking device is mounted by a three-point hitch structure. The axle box is a structure which is separatable in a vertical direction, and an off-line safety protecting device is mounted at a lower portion of the axle box. A traction rod of the secondary spring suspension device is a single traction rod. A center pin is provided with an integral hoisting device. Two anti-yaw dampers, as a group, are arranged at either side of the secondary spring suspension device, and the two anti-yaw dampers have the same damping coefficient.

According to various embodiments, a shuttle car has a first end; a second end; a platform disposed between the first and second ends, wherein the platform is configured to support and transport one or more objects; one or more attachment mechanisms, wherein the one or more attachment mechanisms are configured to be selectively deployed, wherein, when the one or more attachment mechanisms are selectively deployed, the one or more attachment mechanisms are configured to engage with one or more arresting cables and bring the shuttle car to a stop; and one or more locking mechanisms, wherein the one or more locking mechanisms are configured to secure the one or more attachment mechanisms to the first end or the second end of the shuttle car, and wherein the one or more locking mechanism are configured to selectively deploy the one or more attachment mechanisms.
