System, Method, and Apparatus for Determining a Communication Status of Locomotives in a Distributed Power System
Provided is a computer-implemented method for determining a communication status in a train consist operating in a distributed power system, the train consist including a lead locomotive and a plurality of remote locomotives. The method includes, for each remote locomotive of the plurality of remote locomotives that receives the command message directly from the lead locomotive, setting the message source indicator of the remote locomotive to a first state representative of a direct receipt of the command message, incrementing the message source counter for each response message received by the remote locomotive from other remote locomotives in which the respective message source indicator is set to the first state, generating a response message including a value of the message source indicator and a value of the message source counter, and transmitting the response message. A system and computer program product are also disclosed.
Method, base station, and user terminal for implementing uplink resource indication
A method, a base station (BS), and a user terminal are provided for implementing uplink resource indication. The method includes carrying an uplink resource index in an uplink resource grant (UL Grant), in which an uplink resource index corresponds to at least one uplink resource in terms of indication; and sending the UL Grant. The BS includes an index carrying module and an instruction sending module. The user terminal includes an instruction receiving module, an instruction resolving module, and an execution module.
Vehicle convoy control system and method
A control system identifies vehicle systems for combining into a larger convoy. Each the vehicle systems is formed from at least one propulsion-generating vehicle and at least one non-propulsion-generating vehicle. The control system directs the identified vehicle systems to couple with each other for travel as the convoy from a first location toward a different, second location. The control system directs a first vehicle system in the convoy to separate from the convoy and/or a second vehicle system to join the convoy by coupling with at least one of the vehicle systems in the convoy in an intermediate location between the first and second locations. The vehicles in each of the vehicle systems in the convoy remain connected during separation of the first vehicle system from the convoy and/or during joining of the second vehicle system to the convoy.
Guideway mounted vehicle localization system
A system comprises a set of sensors on a first end of a vehicle having the first end and a second end, and a controller. The sensors are configured to generate corresponding sensor data based on a detected marker along a direction of movement of the vehicle. A first sensor has a first inclination angle with respect to the detected marker, and a second sensor has a second inclination angle with respect to the detected marker. The controller is configured to compare a time at which the first sensor detected the marker with a time at which the second sensor detected the marker to identify the first end or the second end as a leading end of the vehicle, and to calculate a position of the leading end of the vehicle based on the sensor data generated by one or more of the first sensor or the second sensor.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR RAILWAY YARD AND RELATED METHODS
A control system is for a railway yard with railroad tracks. The control system may include RCLs and sets of railcars on the railroad tracks. The control system may include railyard sensors configured to generate railyard sensor data of the railroad tracks, and a server in communication with the RCLs and the railyard sensors. The server may be configured to generate a database associated with the sets of railcars based upon the railyard sensor data. The database may have, for each railcar, a railcar type value, a railcar logo image, and a vehicle classification value. The server may be configured to selectively control the RCLs to position the sets of railcars within the railroad tracks based upon the railyard sensor data.
