Train-information management device and train-information management method
A central device includes an information replacing unit. When the information replacing unit detects, on the basis of contact information acquired from an electric coupler provided in a coupled vehicle in a formation B having a train-information management device that manages vehicle information in accordance with the Ethernet® protocol, that a formation A that includes a train-information management device that manages vehicle information in accordance with the ARCNET protocol is coupled to the formation B, then the information replacing unit replaces vehicle information from the formation A with vehicle information in accordance with the Ethernet® protocol; outputs the replaced vehicle information to the formation B; replaces the vehicle information from the formation B with the vehicle information in accordance with the ARCNET protocol; and outputs the replaced vehicle information to the formation A.
Operation management device, operation management method, vehicle, vehicular traffic system, and program
An operation management device that manages the operation of a plurality of vehicles that travel along a track is provided with: a vehicle position acquisition unit that acquires the positions of the plurality of vehicles that are present on the track; a density calculation unit that calculates the density of the plurality of vehicles that are traveling along the track within a predetermined range; and a departure determination unit that adjusts the departure time of a target vehicle from a station at which the vehicle stops on the basis of a front direction density indicating the density of vehicles that are traveling within a predetermined range in front of the predetermined target vehicle in the travel direction thereof and a back direction density indicating the density of vehicles that are traveling within a predetermined range in back of the predetermined target vehicle in the travel direction thereof.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A LAND TRANSPORT VEHICLE, LAND TRANSPORT VEHICLE, GROUND EQUIPMENT AND TRANSPORT SYSTEM
A ground equipment for a transport system includes a track for a land transport vehicle; an external power supply device including a plurality of power supply segments arranged sequentially along the track, the plurality of power supply segments forming an external power supply zone, at least one end segment being situated in vicinity to one end of the external power supply zone adjacent to a zone with no external power supply, to be traveled with an onboard power supply device, a communication antenna being associated with the or each external power supply segments; and a controller adapted to power on the end segment and adapted to send, using an antenna associated with that end segment, a signal indicating the end of a zone with an external power supply in response to a presence signal of the land transport vehicle received by said antenna.
WORKER PROTECTION SYSTEM
Systems and methods are provided for worker protection. The worker protection systems comprise a plurality of alert devices, comprising one or more wearable personal alert devices, each worn by a person (e.g., worker), and one or more companion alert devices that broadcast alerts or signals triggering alerts. The companion alert devices comprise vehicle-mounted alert devices, configured for operation on vehicles (e.g., trains), and wayside detection units, configured for placement on or near paths of the vehicles. The wayside detection units may be operable to autonomously detect and track the vehicles.
EDGE WEATHER ABATEMENT USING HYPERLOCAL WEATHER AND TRAIN ACTIVITY INPUTS
Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for controlling remote equipment in a network. A switch heater control system includes a weather modeling function. The system periodically obtains weather data according to a predetermined time interval. Based on the closest weather data set, the weather modeling function generates a hyperlocal forecast associated with each switch heater location. The system includes an active snowfall mode and a maintenance mode that controls heating based on an estimate of local snow depth, adjusted for wind conditions and passing trains. When the hyperlocal forecast indicates heating is required, the system calculates a melt duration, starts a timer, and transmits a start signal to the switch heater.
Input of ETCS data into a rail vehicle
A method for inputting ETCS data into a rail vehicle inputs the ETCS data by using an apparatus which is separate from the rail vehicle. The apparatus can, for example, be constructed to be mobile and the ETCS data can be input flexibly at different locations and be transmitted to the rail vehicle, for example, by SMS. The advantage of this approach is that delays resulting from the inputting of ETCS data can be reduced and thus the rail vehicle reaches a “Start of Mission” state more quickly. An apparatus for inputting ETCS data into a rail vehicle and a rail vehicle with an ETCS device are also provided.
Method for managing service schedule of vehicle
A method for managing a service schedule of a vehicle includes receiving the service schedule of the vehicle that travels along a predetermined route from a control server, generating first service information of the vehicle based on position information of the vehicle, generating service state information of the vehicle based on the service schedule and the first service information, and displaying the service state information of the vehicle using a user interface.

RADIOCOMMUNICATION INFRASTRUCTURE FOR A RAILWAY SIGNALLING SYSTEM OF THE CBTC TYPE
This infrastructure includes a network MPLS; first and second groups of access points associated with each section of the track; first and second modems, on the train, communicating with access points of the first and second groups. The network includes pairs of local switches, each associated with a section of the track and including first and second local switches for communication with, respectively, the first and second groups of access points of the associated section, and first and second central switches, the switches being in series with one another and implementing a service for defining paths between each central switch and each local switch so the path between the first central switch and the first local switch of a pair and the path between the second central switch and the second local switch of this pair correspond to separate portions of the ring formed by the network.
METHOD FOR MONITORING AND DIAGNOSING COMPONENTS OF A RAIL VEHICLE BY MEANS OF AN EXTENSIBLE EVALUATION SOFTWARE
A method for monitoring and diagnosing components of a rail vehicle, as a singular rail vehicle or as part of a rail vehicle train consisting of a plurality of rail vehicles, with regard to the necessary repair or maintenance, as appropriate, of at least one component, in which at least one measuring device captures at least one measurement variable, which is relevant to an assessment of a necessary repair or maintenance, as appropriate, of the component, is performed in which supplementation, extension, modification or adaptation of evaluation software implemented in an evaluation device is performed based on instructions, data and/or software modules sent from a control center to the evaluation device.
