Urban intermodal freight system for cities with mass transit rail infrastructure
An Urban Intermodal Freight System is capable of transporting large volumes and tonnage of freight by containerized or other means on a mass transit rail system. It captures excess capacity in the existing mass transit rail infrastructure to move packages, parcels, and freight by using miniaturized intermodal cargo containers that are designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing transit infrastructure, while displacing delivery trucks from increasingly crowded city streets. By enabling inbound trucks to transfer their cargo to the Urban Intermodal Freight System at a city's outskirts, freight is delivered without trucks entering congested downtown areas, greatly alleviating traffic congestion, delays, greenhouse gas emissions and other negative environmental impacts. The Linear Loading Dock and Conveyor System may have other useful applications, for example to access a facility, building or vehicle, or in other circumstances where off street truck parking or loading docks are not available.
Expandable car jack
An expandable car jack includes a vehicle lifting assembly with an upper lifting member, a lower lifting member mechanically coupled to the upper lifting member, and a lifting mechanism capable of moving the upper lifting member to a plurality of raised height positions. A base is coupled to the vehicle lifting assembly and includes a first base support member, a second base support member, and a base support coupler that is operable to selectively couple the first base support member to the second base support member in at least a first coupling position and a second coupling position. The base support coupler selectively mechanically maintains a parallel alignment and a perpendicular alignment of the first base support member and the second base support member when the base support coupler is in the first coupling position, allows the first base support member and the second base support member to freely move between the parallel alignment and the perpendicular alignment when the base support coupler is in the second coupling position, and remains mechanically coupled to at least the first base support member in the first and second coupling positions so that the first base support member cannot move with respect to the second base support member without a mechanical alteration to the base support coupler prior to moving either the first base support member or the second base support member.
BATTERY-POWERED WHEELBARROW
One aspect of the present disclosure provides a battery-powered wheelbarrow including a battery housing, a motor, a wheel, a drive circuit, and a control circuit. The control circuit activates, during a drive requirement of the motor not being satisfied, dynamic braking. The control circuit decreases the dynamic braking through the drive circuit in accordance with a lapse of time in response to a first transition having occurred or occurring.

Magnetic charging device
A magnetic charging device for charging the battery batteries of an electric motorized cart has a plug unit a a charger unit. When the battery or batteries are charging, the plug unit and charger unit are releasably engaged with each other by a magnetic connection. A microprocessor controller provides a safety feature that ensures the plug unit is fully engaged with the charger unit before electricity is allowed to flow from the power source to the batteries.
TRANSPORT ASSIST EQUIPMENT AND BED
A transport assist equipment assists transport of an object. The transport assist equipment includes a plurality of mecanum wheels, a plurality of motors, a first sensor, and a controller. The plurality of mecanum wheels are attached to the object. The plurality of motors are respectively attached to the plurality of mecanum wheels, and configured to respectively drive the plurality of mecanum wheels. The first sensor detects a force applied to the object. The controller is electrically connected to the first sensor and controls the plurality of motors. The controller drives the plurality of mecanum wheels via the motors so as to propel the object along a direction in which the object receives the force, based on a detection signal of the first sensor.
CONCRETE TOOL SUPPORT SHELF OR RACK FOR A CONCRETE WHEELBARROW OR SIMILAR DEVICE AND A METHOD OF USING A CONCRETE TOOL SUPPORT SHELF OR RACK TO CLEAN CONCRETE MATERIALS FROM CONCRETE TOOLS
A concrete tool support shelf or rack for a concrete wheelbarrow or similar device and a method of using a concrete tool support shelf or rack to clean concrete materials from concrete tools.
Adjustable tilt mechanism
Aspects of the invention are directed to adjustable tilt mechanisms (30), e.g., adjustable tilt mechanisms configured for enabling objects to tilt around a tilting axis (101). According to one aspect of the invention, an adjustable tilt mechanism includes a housing (100) that defines a tilt axis and an adjustment axis (103) oriented perpendicular and non-intersecting relative to the tilt axis and a torque adjustment assembly that is at least partially disposed within the housing. The torque adjustment assembly (118) includes an adjuster (130) positioned for rotation about the adjustment axis defined by the housing, a gear (120) positioned for rotation about the tilt axis defined by the housing, and a biasing spring (140) coupled to the gear. The gear being operatively coupled to the adjuster. The housing configured for coupling to an object.
Power supply device supplying power to multiple carts, cart, and method for charging cart
A power supply device that supplies power to multiple carts, a cart, and a method for charging such cart are provided. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the power supply device that supplies the power to the multiple carts calculates charging allocation of carts based on priorities of the carts to control charging of the carts.
