The processor calculates trajectories of the vehicle and a mobile device and estimates a location of the mobile device. When the mobile device is within a threshold distance of the vehicle, the processor polls a key fob at an interval based on a comparison of the trajectories and estimate a location of the key fob. When the key fob is within the threshold distance, the processor enables autonomous parking.

Method and apparatus are disclosed for mobile device tethering for a remote parking assist system of a vehicle. An example vehicle includes first and second wireless modules and a processor. The processor calculates trajectories of the vehicle and a mobile device and estimates a location of the mobile device. When the mobile device is within a threshold distance of the vehicle, the processor polls a key fob at an interval based on a comparison of the trajectories and estimate a location of the key fob. When the key fob is within the threshold distance, the processor enables autonomous parking.

Remote tractor control system

A remote tractor control system with a hand held remote control unit having an enable button that when actuated sends signals from a plurality of command buttons on the hand held remote control unit to a three point hitch controller, a transmission controller and an engine controller on a tractor. When not actuated, a rear switch module may be used to raise and lower the three point hitch or creep in forward or reverse, while the hand held remote control unit may display information about tractor condition from the engine controller.

INITIATION OF VEHICLE REMOTE PARK-ASSIST WITH KEY FOB

Method and apparatus are disclosed for initiation of vehicle remote park-assist with key fob. An example vehicle includes a cabin, a human-machine interface (HMI) unit located in the cabin, and a receiver-transceiver module. The receiver-transceiver module is configured to receive a return signal including a distance indicator from a key fob and a remote park-assist (RePA) signal. The example vehicle also includes an autonomy unit configured to perform RePA based on the RePA signal. The example vehicle also includes a controller configured to receive, via the HMI unit, selections to activate RePA and utilize the key fob for transmitting the RePA signal and determine, based on the distance indicator, whether the key fob is in the cabin. The controller also is configured to, responsive to determining that the key fob is in the cabin, prevent the autonomy unit from performing RePA.

VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM

A vehicle control system includes: a terminal including an input/output unit and configured to be carried by a user; and a control device configured to perform wireless communication with the terminal and to execute autonomous parking processing to move a vehicle to a parking position and to park the vehicle at the parking position, wherein the control device includes a vehicle position identifying unit configured to detect a position of the vehicle, and an action plan unit configured to set a reference position where the user is deemed to hold the terminal outside the vehicle without moving and to compute a traveling route of the vehicle from an alighting position where the user alights from the vehicle to the parking position such that a condition that a distance from the reference position to the vehicle does not exceed a prescribed value is satisfied.

A vehicle control system includes: a plurality of terminals configured to be carried by users; and a control device configured to execute remote parking processing to move a vehicle from a current position to a parking position and to park the vehicle at the parking position in response to an instruction from any of the terminals. The control device is configured to execute starting processing to start operation of the vehicle in response to the instruction from any of the terminals. Once the control device executes the starting processing in response to an instruction from one of the terminals, the control device prohibits the remote parking processing in response to an instruction from any other of the terminals as long as the vehicle is in operation.

KEY FOB UTILIZATION FOR VEHICLE REMOTE PARK-ASSIST

Method and apparatus are disclosed for key fob utilization for vehicle remote park-assist. An example vehicle system for remote park-assist (RePA) includes a key fob. The key fob includes a low frequency (LF) antenna to receive a beacon and an ultra-high frequency (UHF) antenna to transmit a return signal including a distance indicator and a RePA signal. The example vehicle system also includes a vehicle. The vehicle includes an LF module to transmit the beacon at a predefined interval, a receiver-transceiver module to receive the return signal and the RePA signal, a controller to enable RePA responsive to determining that the distance indicator is less than a tethering threshold distance, and an autonomy unit to perform RePA based on the RePA signal.

A vehicle control system includes: a driving operation device provided in a vehicle and configured to accept a driving operation by a user; an operation terminal configured to be carried by the user and including an input/output unit configured to accept an input by the user and to output a signal; and a control device configured to control traveling of the vehicle based on a signal from the driving operation device and to execute remote parking processing to move the vehicle to a parking position based on a signal from the operation terminal. When the control device detects the driving operation based on a signal from the driving operation device during the remote parking processing, the control device executes suspension processing to stop the vehicle and to make the input/output unit notify that the driving operation device has been operated.

Method and apparatus are disclosed for key fobs for vehicle remote park-assist. An example key fob for a vehicle includes buttons including a lock button, an unlock button, and a trigger button. The example key fob also includes an antenna and a controller. The controller is configured to transmit, via the antenna, a lock signal responsive to detecting the lock button is pressed. The controller is configured to transmit, via the antenna, an unlock signal responsive to detecting the unlock button is pressed. The controller is configured to transmit, via the antenna, a remote-start signal responsive to detecting a remote-start combination of the buttons is pressed. The controller is configured to transmit, via the antenna, a remote park-assist (RePA) signal to initiate RePA of the vehicle responsive to detecting a RePA combination of the buttons is pressed.
