An actual steering ratio, which is a linkage relationship between a steering target wheel and a steering wheel, is controlled based on a setting steering ratio. Then, when a “mismatch” occurs between the actual steering ratio and the setting steering ratio due to an emergent avoidance motion, a steering control apparatus corrects the setting steering ratio using a corrected steering ratio so as to reduce the “mismatch”, thereby improving the consistency of the linkage relationship between a driver's steering operation and the steering target wheel, allowing the relationship between a rotational angle of the steering wheel and a steering angle of the steering target wheel to match the steering ratio, and thus reducing an uncomfortable feeling evoked in a driver.

The disclosure relates to a steering apparatus with a blocking device for limiting a steering angle of rotation, wherein the blocking device has a blocking element movable between a locking position and a release position, and with a shaft which is mounted rotatably about its centre longitudinal axis. When in the locking position, the blocking element interacts with a blocking contour in order to stop a rotational movement of the shaft. The blocking element is movable by the actuator for interaction with the blocking contour. The steering angle of rotation for the steering apparatus can be limited in two directions of rotation directed facing away from each other by the blocking element, wherein both a first end stop position in a first direction of rotation and a second end stop position in a second direction of rotation opposed to the first direction of rotation can be predefined by the blocking element and in interaction with the blocking contour.

Steering control system

A steering control system includes a central processing unit. The central processing unit calculates a plurality of types of axial forces acting on the turning shaft based on a state quantity. The central processing unit calculates a distributed axial force which is used to calculate the command value by summing the plurality of types of axial forces at predetermined distribution proportions. The central processing unit calculates the axial forces to have hysteresis with change of the state quantity. The hysteresis of each axial force is adjusted to approach hysteresis of one specific axial force out of the plurality of types of axial forces.
