AUTOMATIC PARALLEL PARKING OF VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION
A system and method of parking a vehicle is disclosed. A vehicle may be provided with a manual transmission. The vehicle may be equipped with an automatically modulated clutch. A target parking space may be identified. The clutch may be modulated automatically through a controller to move the vehicle while scanning the target parking space. The vehicle may be automatically steered through the controller while simultaneously modulating the clutch automatically through the controller to move the vehicle into the target parking space.
Systems and methods for controlling wheel motion during a collision
Systems and methods for controlling wheel motion during a collision are provided. A retaining member may be connectable between a vehicle frame and a wheel assembly to control motion of the wheel assembly during a collision of a vehicle with an object. The retaining member may include one or more of a first attachment point connecting the retaining member to the vehicle frame, a second attachment point connecting the retaining member to the wheel assembly, a retaining member routing, and/or one or more break-away connections attaching the retaining member to the vehicle frame and/or to the wheel assembly. The first and second attachment points, retaining member routing, and/or break-away connections may be selected to control motion of the wheel assembly within a preferred path to control loading between the object and the vehicle.

Control system for a work machine
A control system is disclosed. The control system may include a first input component to control a lean angle of at least one set of wheels of a machine and to provide a visual and/or tactile indication of the lean angle. The control system may include a second input component to control an articulation angle of an articulated joint of the machine and to provide a visual and/or tactile indication of the articulation angle. The control system may include a third input component to control a rotation angle of an implement of the machine and to provide a visual and/or tactile indication of the rotation angle.
Automobile with Extended 90-Degree Steering Range for Parallel Parking or Other Uses
An automobile having sets of front and rear wheels, of which one or both sets are steerable wheels and one or both sets are driven wheels. Each steerable wheel is rotatably supported on a respective steering knuckle that is swivelable about an upright steering axis, and is coupled to the frame by a suspension system for relative movement upwardly and downwardly of the automobile's frame. The steering knuckle of each steerable wheel is movable through a ninety degree range between a straight-ahead position for longitudinally straight travel of the automobile in a normal road travel mode, and a ninety-degree position for lateral travel of the automobile in another mode.
MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR STEERING A MOTOR VEHICLE
A motor vehicle (10), in particular an autonomous motor vehicle, includes a steering system (38, 30), a plurality of wheels (18, 20) that can be steered by means of the steering system (28, 30), and wheel housings (24, 26) for said wheels (18, 20). The steering system (28, 30) is designed such that the steering system steers the steerable wheels (18, 20) of a wheel pair in question in the same direction, in the case of joint steering to the left or right at a steering angle a up to a limit angle a.sub.g defined by the shape of the corresponding wheel housings (24, 26), and in opposite directions, in the case of steering to the left or right at a steering angle a exceeding the limit angle α.sub.g.

MOVABLE OBJECT WITH STEERING CONTROL
A movable object includes: a body part forming a main body; a wheel provided on a left side or a right side of the body part; a steering module connecting the body part and the wheel, wherein the steering module controls movement of the wheel in a manner that steers the wheel to the left when the wheel moves upward with respect to the body part, and steers the wheel to the right when the wheel moves downward with respect to the body part.
