The CV joint includes a housing, a coupling shaft, a detent, a plunge pin and an actuation pin, wherein the actuation pin has a first end that is accessible via an aperture in the housing, wherein actuation of the actuation pin determines whether the plunge pin is in the first position or the second position.

A motor-vehicle lattice frame that includes a plurality of structural nodes each having a central body and at least one hollow arm protruding from the central body. The lattice frame also includes a plurality of beam elements connected to each other by means of the hollow protruding arms. The structural nodes are made by an additive manufacturing technique and at least one arm of one of the nodes has an end portion opposite to said central body having a channel shape with an open cavity both at a front end of the arm and along one side of the arm.

A universal axle-hub assembly is provided for an off-road vehicle. The universal axle-hub assembly comprises a wheel hub that receives a constant velocity (CV) axle snout into an opening extending through an axle support of the wheel hub. An outboard-most portion of the opening is a splined portion that engages with similar splines disposed on an outboard-most portion of the CV axle snout. An inboard-most portion of the opening is a smooth portion that receives a smooth portion of the CV axle snout. The axle support extends through an entirety of the width of a bearing that supports the wheel hub, such that the bearing supports the smooth portion of the CV axle snout and substantially eliminates shear forces acting on the splined portion of the CV axle snout. A bearing carrier supports the bearing and may be fastened onto a trailing arm or a spindle of the off-road vehicle.

CHASSIS FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND ELECTRIC VEHICLE COMPRISING THE CHASSIS

A chassis for an electric vehicle driveable on a driving surface, the electric vehicle comprising a cab portion and a cargo-carrying portion. The chassis comprises: a front chassis portion configured to support a cab portion and defining a first seat mounting surface for supporting a seat for a driver; a rear chassis portion configured to support a cargo-carrying portion, the rear chassis portion comprising a principal plane; and an intermediate chassis portion coupling the front chassis portion and the rear chassis portion. The intermediate chassis portion forms a transition between the front chassis portion and the rear chassis portion and is configured so that the first seat mounting surface for supporting a seat for a driver is positionable closer than the principal plane of the rear chassis portion to a driving surface. An electric vehicle comprising the chassis is also provided.
