Different materials joint structure

A subframe structure includes a frame front part and a frame rear part in a vehicle front-rear direction. The frame front part and the frame rear part are joined together. The frame front part has a higher strength than the frame rear part. The subframe has different strengths from part to part. The frame front part is made of a galvannealed steel plate (GA steel plate) subjected to an electrodeposition coating. The frame rear part is made of a hot-dip galvanized steel plate (GI steel plate) subjected to an electrodeposition coating. A rear cross member of an aluminum die-casting and a rear cross panel of a hot-dip galvanized steel plate (GI steel plate) are integrally joined together by a friction stir welding.

The steering support member is disposed in a front portion of a vehicle cabin to support the steering column. The steering support member includes a steering support member body that extends in a vehicle width direction, and side brackets that fix both ends of the steering support member body to a vehicle body. The steering support member body is disposed above a gravity center position of the steering column to fix the gravity center position or a position in a vicinity of the gravity center position. At least the side bracket closer to the steering column includes a front-and-rear fixing portion that fixes the steering support member to the vehicle body in a vehicle front-and-rear direction.

Motor vehicle

A motor vehicle is provided with a body which has hollow profiles with cavities formed therein. The cavities can be separated by bulkhead parts against water and noise. Each bulkhead part has a base support with an expandable foam part provided therewith. Under the influence of heat, the foam part foams from a determined temperature and fills a surrounding gap that is formed between an end face of the bulkhead part and an opposing inner surface of the hollow profile. The bulkhead part includes two longitudinal sections and a transverse part connecting the two longitudinal sections of the bulkhead part such that a surrounding framework of the base support is produced. The bulkhead part forms an essentially U-shaped receiving opening. A respective attachment element is formed on inner framework sections of the longitudinal sections and of the transverse part of the base support, so that, in the engaged state of the attachment elements, at least three mutually separated attachment points are produced in the through-openings of the body profile.
