HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE SPARE TIRE CARRIERS HAVING CHEBYSHEV LINKAGES
Height-adjustable spare tire carriers having Chebyshev linkages are described. An example spare tire carrier is to be coupled to a vehicle. The spare tire carrier includes a Chebyshev linkage having an output shaft to carry a spare tire of the vehicle. The output shaft is movable between a raised position and a lowered position.
TIRE CARRIERS FOR USE WITH VEHICLES
Tire carriers for use with vehicles are disclosed herein. An example tire carrier, includes a frame including telescopically coupled tubes; and a lock carried by one of the tubes, the lock structured to mechanically engage another one of the tubes to fix the tubes relative to one another to prevent the tire carrier from inadvertently moving toward a lowered position, the lock structured to reduce the mechanical engagement with the other one of the tubes to enable the tire carrier to be moved toward a raised position.
TIRE CARRIERS FOR VEHICLES AND RELATED METHODS
Tire carriers for vehicles and related methods are disclosed. An example tire carrier includes a hinge to be pivotally coupled to a vehicle. A support arm has a first end to be pivotally coupled to the hinge and a second end to receive a tire. A jack including a beam and running gear. The beam to be pivotally coupled to the hinge and the running gear to be coupled to the second end of the support arm.
Vehicle spare tire lift assembly
A tire lift assembly including a body and a pair of moveable arms is provided. The body may include two handles. Each of the moveable arms extends from the body. Each arm may have an end to grasp a vehicle tire when in a first position and to release the vehicle tire when in a second position. Each of the movable arms may extend from the body at a living hinge to facilitate movement of each of the moveable arms. The body may be of a flexible material to facilitate movement of each of the pair of moveable arms. The body may further define a pair of handle through-holes. Each of the pair of handle through-holes may be located adjacent one of the two handles. Each of the pair of handle through-holes may be located adjacent a living hinge to facilitate pivotal movement of each of the moveable arms.
Tire carrier
A tire carrier assembly includes a tire carrier, a carrier support assembly which is lockable and unlockable and configured to support the tire carrier in a stowed position when locked and to lower the tire carrier toward a deployed position when unlocked, and a hoist coupled to the carrier support assembly. The hoist is configured to lock the carrier support assembly and to be selectively actuatable to unlock the carrier support assembly.
Vehicle with improved backseat arrangement and spare wheel well
A vehicle including a rear seat arrangement for a rear seat row and having a spare wheel recess arranged in the rear region of the vehiclerelative to a vehicle longitudinal axisa spare wheel for the vehicle being received the spare wheel recess. A rigid carrier portion, which is fixed to the body of a supporting structure of the rear seat arrangement, is located with a lower face facing the cover of the spare wheel recess above a reference plane or extends along a reference plane, wherein the reference plane runs at an angle a to the wheel plane on the front face of the spare wheel and the wheel plane intersects a cutting line which is located in a vertical plane running perpendicular to the vehicle longitudinal axis and tangential to the running surface of the spare wheel.
TIRE CARRIER
A tire carrier assembly is provided and includes a bracket, a tire carrier, a carrier support and a hoist. The carrier support is lockable and unlockable and is configured to support the tire carrier in a stowed position when locked and to swing the tire carrier toward a deployed position when unlocked. The hoist is coupled to the bracket and the carrier support and is configured to normally lock the carrier support and to be selectively actuatable to unlock the carrier support.
Apparatus, system, and related methods for holding and maneuvering an industrial vehicle spare tire
An apparatus, system, and related methods for holding and maneuvering an industrial vehicle spare tire include a tire support positioned on an industrial vehicle. An industrial vehicle tire is removably securable to the tire support, wherein the tire support has at least two independently adjustable threaded members for controlling engagement of the tire support and the industrial vehicle tire. A winch is positioned proximate to the gate of the industrial vehicle. At least one pulley is positioned above the tire support, wherein at least one winch cable is connected between the winch and the at least one pulley.
