Outdoor power equipment includes a frame including a handle, a prime mover mounted to the frame, a transmission coupling the prime mover to a wheel, and a user interface coupled to the transmission and including a static link rigidly coupled to the handle, a forward link coupled to a forward lever and to the static link, a reverse link coupled to a reverse lever and to the static link, and a joining link coupled between the forward link and the reverse link. The user interface is actuatable between a forward configuration and a reverse configuration.

ARTICULATED WORK MACHINE WITH INDIVIDUALLY POWERED DRIVE MEMBERS

An articulated work machine with individually powered drive members. Each drive member is controlled by a corresponding electric motor, and is capable of rotating at a different speed and in the opposite rotational direction than all other drive members. Each drive member may also remain stationary while all other drive members rotate. The electric motors are commanded by a controller, which may be directed by inputs from by an operator. A lift arm extends from the front end of the vehicle, and a platform station extends from the rear end of the vehicle. The lift arm is connected to a tool, such as a bucket.

Vehicles having a moveable control console

Vehicles having a control console that may be moved between a plurality of locations relative to the body of the vehicle are disclosed. The control console may include a direction control device for controlling movement of the vehicle that is adaptive such that movement of the vehicle is based on both the direction at which the direction control device is actuated and the sensed position of the control console.

An electric self-balancing vehicle including a top cover, a bottom cover, an inner cover, a rotating mechanism, two wheels, two hub motors, a plurality of sensors, a power supply, and a controller is described herein. The top cover includes a first top cover and a second top cover disposed symmetrically and rotatable relative to each other. The bottom cover is fixed to the top cover and includes a first bottom cover and a second bottom cover disposed symmetrically and rotatable relative to each other. The inner cover is fixed between the top cover and the bottom cover and includes a first inner cover and a second inner cover disposed symmetrically and rotatable relative to each other. The rotating mechanism is fixed between the first inner cover and the second inner cover. The two wheels are rotatably fixed at two sides of the inner cover, respectively. The two hub motors are fixed in the two wheels, respectively. The plurality of sensors is disposed between the bottom cover and the inner cover, respectively. The power supply is fixed between the first bottom cover and the first inner cover. The controller is fixed between the second bottom cover and the second inner cover, the controller is electrically connected with the plurality of sensors, the power supply, and the hub motors, and the controller controls the hub motors to drive the corresponding wheels to rotate according to sensing signals transmitted by the sensors.

CONTROL OF A PERSONAL TRANSPORTER BASED ON USER POSITION

An apparatus controller for prompting a rider to be positioned on a vehicle in such a manner as to reduce lateral instability due to lateral acceleration of the vehicle. The apparatus has an input for receiving specification from the rider of a desired direction of travel, and indicating means for reflecting to the rider a propitious instantaneous body orientation to enhance stability in the face of lateral acceleration. The indicating may include a handlebar that is pivotable with respect to the vehicle and that is driven in response to vehicle turning.

A vehicle for transporting a passenger in a standing position includes a frame, a rear axle assembly disposed at a rear end of the frame, a front suspension assembly disposed at a front end of the frame, a rear deck attached to the frame to accommodate a trailing foot of the passenger, a front deck attached to the frame to accommodate a leading foot of the passenger, and a driveshaft extending forward from the rear axle assembly such that the driveshaft transmits power to the rear axle assembly.

The controller is fixed between the second bottom cover and the second inner cover, the controller is electrically connected with the plurality of sensors, the power supply, and the hub motors, and the controller controls the hub motors to drive the corresponding wheels to rotate according to sensing signals transmitted by the sensors.

A steerable, self-propelled cart for safely delivering heavy loads, such as concrete, within job sites with unlevel, irregular, or sloped terrain. A cargo bucket is tiltable over front drive wheels for transporting and dumping cargo. Hydraulic drive motors driven by a hydraulic pump propel rear wheels at a selectable speed. Steering handlebars rotate a steering column that turns the rear wheels. A throttle cable extending from the handlebars controls the throttle setting by pivoting a throttle lever mounted on the hydraulic pump. Limiting linkages extend from flanges on an anchor bracket secured to the steering column to a bridge on the throttle lever. As the steering column rotates, the limit linkages are wound partially about it, pivoting the throttle lever by pulling on the bridge, reducing pump speed. Heavy steering displacements will retract the throttle lever to reduce cart speed notwithstanding the previous speed setting chosen by the operator via the cable.
