Materials handling vehicle path validation and dynamic path modification
A materials handling vehicle comprising a path validation tool and a drive unit, steering unit, localization module, and navigation module that cooperate to navigate the vehicle along a warehouse travel path. The tool comprises warehouse layout data, a proposed travel path, vehicle kinematics, and a dynamic vehicle boundary that approximates the vehicle physical periphery. The tool executes path validation logic to determine vehicle pose along the proposed travel path, update the dynamic vehicle boundary to account for changes in vehicle speed and steering angle, determine whether the dynamic vehicle boundary is likely to intersect obstacles represented in the layout data based on the determined vehicle pose at candidate positions along the proposed travel path, determine a degree of potential impingement at the candidate positions by referring to the dynamic vehicle boundary and obstacle data, and modify the proposed travel path to mitigate the degree of potential impingement.
FIFTH WHEEL HITCH COMFORT SYSTEM
A fifth wheel hitch assembly for mounting to a towing vehicle and receiving a kingpin of a trailer incorporating a comfort assembly is provided. The fifth wheel hitch assembly may comprise a kingpin receiving assembly attached to a mounting rail via a comfort assembly. The comfort assembly may include one or more pivot bushing assemblies, as well as vertically adjustable, anti-rattle attachment systems. These attachment systems may include a cam assembly and/or a T-pin assembly.
VEHICLE FOR REMOVING FOREIGN OBJECTS
Disclosed herein is a vehicle for removing foreign objects (e.g. rubbish) from an area proximal to the vehicle (e.g. along a roadside). The vehicle comprises an arm that is moveable into a foreign object collecting position, a foreign object collector located at a distal end of the arm and configured for collecting foreign objects, and a conduit for conveying collected foreign objects to a storage bin.

TRAVELING DEVICE AND CARRIAGE
Provided is a traveling device being inserted into an accommodator of a carriage including a traveling wheel, being coupled to the carriage, and traveling while pulling the carriage. The traveling device includes a driving wheel provided at a bottom of the traveling device, and a first guide roller contactable with the carriage when the traveling device is inserted into the accommodator of the carriage, at least one of a corner and a side surface of the traveling device.
Multi-tread vehicles and methods of operating thereof
Provided are multi-tread vehicles and methods of operating such vehicles to access small interior spaces. A multi-tread vehicle may include two or more tread sections such that each pair of adjacent tread sections is interconnected by a connector section. Furthermore, each pair may have one or more degrees of articulations, such as being pivotable with respect to each other around one or more axis and/or being bendable with respect to each other around one or more axis. These articulation degrees may be provided by the connector section and/or by couplings between the connector section and each tread section. In some embodiments, each tread section may include two portions detachably coupled to each other. This detachable coupling may be used for disassembly of the multi-tread vehicle after or even during its use, for example, when only a portion of the vehicle needs to be retrieved from an interior space.

TRACTION ASSIST APPARATUS
A traction assist apparatus includes a memory and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor is configured to acquire a coupling angle between a towing vehicle and a towed vehicle towed by the towing vehicle and acquire a current steered angle of the towing vehicle. The hardware processor is configured to, when the towing vehicle is moved backward at the current steered angle, determine whether the towed vehicle is movable backward in a balance state where the coupling angle is maintained, and monitor whether steering of the towing vehicle is continued in the balance state. The hardware processor is configured to provide notification of presence or absence of the balance state and provide notification of whether the monitoring is continued.
Transport trailer with a chassis and at least one floor platform
A transport trailer having a chassis and at least one floor platform mounting to the chassis and configured to transport a load. The at least one floor platform comprises at least one main plate and a metal sheet mounting to the main plate. The at least one main plate is fabricated from a porous metal material.
Vehicle, single-wheelset/double-wheelset trackless train, and tracking and steering control method therefor
A vehicle, a single-wheelset/double-wheelset trackless train and a tracking and steering control method therefor are provided in the invention. The method includes the following steps. During traveling of the vehicle, steering information of the vehicle is continually collected by the controller. Information about a guiding front wheel turning angle, a controlled rear wheel turning angle, a vehicle body position angle, an included angle between vehicle bodies, and a vehicle travel time and speed is collected; an interval for data collection is determined according to a distance between a guiding front wheel and a controlled rear wheel; and when the controlled rear wheel travels to a certain point near a front wheel travel track, the controlled rear wheel is controlled to travel in a travel direction same as that when the front wheel travels to the point. According to the rear wheel tracking and steering control method, the objective that a controlled rear wheel operates in a manner of highly approaching a guiding front wheel track can be achieved; and the higher a data collection frequency is, the higher a track fitting degree of the front wheel and the rear wheel is.
