A bicycle includes a vehicle-body frame, a front wheel that is a steered wheel, a rear wheel, a crankshaft, a pedal, a transmission to transmit rotation of the pedal to the rear wheel, a motor to apply at least a torque to cause rearward rotation of at least one of the front wheel or the rear wheel, a roll detector to detect at least one of a roll angle or a roll angular velocity of the vehicle-body frame, and a steering detector to detect a direction of steering. When a vehicle speed is zero and a steering angle of the front wheel is not zero, the motor applies, to the at least one of the front wheel or the rear wheel, a torque to maintain the roll angle of the vehicle-body frame based on the detected direction of steering and the at least one of the roll angle or the roll angular velocity.

The air propelling device is mounted on a man-powered vehicle for discharging air toward the back of the man-powered vehicle. Due to the reaction force, the man-powered vehicle is provided with forward thrust. The control system connects to the air propelling device in a wired or wireless manner to control the amount of air discharged by the air propelling device.

Rider Restrictions through Inter-Bicycle Communication

Electronic bicycles may communicate with each other to provide a communal biking experience to their riders. The electronic bicycles may collect rider data about their riders and may adjust the output parameters of the electronic bicycles based on the rider data. For example, the electronic bicycles may identify a weaker rider of the riders and may adjust the output parameters of the weaker rider's electronic bicycle to minimize a difference in the operation of the weaker rider's electronic bicycle and the stronger rider's electronic bicycle. Additionally, a parent rider may establish rider restrictions on an electronic bicycle ridden by a child.
