All-Terrain Vehicle

An all-terrain vehicle includes a frame, a vehicle cover, a plurality of wheels, a suspension, a prime mover assembly with an engine and a transmission, and an intake system. The intake system includes an air inlet on an instrument shield providing cooling air to the transmission. The instrument shield windward surface extends transversely, upwardly and rearwardly at an angle to horizontal in the range of 45 to 90 degrees. The vehicle cover includes left and right side cover assemblies each with insulation covers. The prime mover assembly is in an accommodation space extending inside of the left and right insulation covers, substantially isolated from contact with the left and right insulation covers by airflow within the accommodation space. Flow-guiding cavities are defined adjacent wind-in surfaces on the underside(s) of left and/or right front fenders, and the flow-guiding cavities introduce airflow into the accommodation space.

A rear frame is formed of a laminate that includes a plurality of carbon fiber layers laminated one on top of another and hardened and integrated with each other by a plastic. A different color layer having a color different from a color of the carbon fiber layers is disposed between the carbon fiber layers in the laminate. When a carbon fiber layer on the outside is lost by a piece of flying gravel and a lost portion reaches the different color layer, a surface of the different color layer is exposed from the lost portion. An exposed portion having the different color can be easily recognized from the outside. The appearance of the exposed portion allows arrival of a replacement time of the rear frame to be recognized. As a result, it is possible to enable easy visual recognition of an optimum replacement timing.

SIDE COVER STRUCTURE FOR MOTORCYCLE

A side cover structure for a motorcycle, which is to be arranged for covering a lateral side of the motorcycle, comprising a side cover that covers a lateral side of an air cleaner above the engine and includes a window for allowing vision therethrough. The side cover is provided with a side lower cover, which covers below the side cover and includes a surface portion for attaching from inside of the window of the side cover, and a garnish, which is made attachable/detachable to/from the outside of the window. The surface portion of the side lower cover carries a design shape thereon for being seen when the garnish is taken off from the side cover at the window. Such configuration provides the user to change the appearance of side cover structure of the motorcycle, thereby providing various styles of the side cover structure by the user preference.

Cowling structure of straddle-type vehicle and straddle-type vehicle

A cowling structure of a straddle-type vehicle, comprises a front opening forming section formed with a front opening which opens frontward in a vehicle body; a rear opening forming section formed with a rear opening which is placed rearward relative to the front opening and opens to a rear in the vehicle body; an inclined wall which is placed between a lower portion of the front opening forming section and a lower portion of the rear opening forming section, extends in a forward and rearward direction, and includes an inclined surface inclined to be higher as the inclined surfaces extends in a rearward direction; and an outer side wall protruding upward from an outer side portion of the inclined wall in a vehicle width direction of the vehicle body and extending in the forward and rearward direction.

Saddle-ride type vehicle

A saddle-ride type vehicle in which an engine is supported on a body frame and radiators are disposed forward of the engine is provided, wherein waste heat of the radiators is prevented from reaching the engine. The saddle-ride type vehicle includes a radiator shroud 71 that covers a range from a lateral side of a radiator 61 to a lateral side of a cylinder head 42a of the engine E. The radiator shroud 71 has an exhaust port 75 opening outward in a vehicle width direction. The saddle-ride type vehicle also includes a partition wall 82A between the radiator and the cylinder head 42a. The partition wall 82A separates a rear space 61d of the radiator 61 and the cylinder head 42a from each other and brings the rear space 61d into communication with the exhaust port 75 of the radiator shroud 71.

To provide a vehicle body cover structure for a saddled vehicle, capable of achieving restrictive improvements on rigidity of the vehicle body cover. A vehicle body cover structure for a saddled vehicle includes a radiator shroud formed of a fiber-reinforced resin covering an outside of a vehicle body. The fiber-reinforced resin is formed of a cloth woven from warp threads and filling threads formed of fibers. In the vehicle body cover structure, the radiator shroud has the cloth disposed thereon. The cloth has disposed thereon a bisector that divides an angle formed between the warp threads and the filling threads into two equal parts. The bisector is disposed so as to extend along a line segment that connects between a third mounting portion to be fixed to a vehicle body side and a front end portion that is farthest from the third mounting portion.
